I know I'm 4 months late to the party, but when we had to replace the engines under warranty, they came out the bottom. Support the frame just behind the trans crossmember, take out the front axle, then drop it out the bottom with the trans.

Did something similar a few years ago, but I just through a party and turned like 8 people loose with sawzalls. Had the engine out and the entire camper on the ground in about 8 hours. Sold the generator for a couple hundred bucks, and made like $600 in scrap metal. Took me a month to clean up the rest of the mess, but I got the engine for my mega truck. Currently wrapping up assembly on it, wound up stroking it to 520 ci and I'm going with an aluminum top end. Hoping the block will be able to handle about 700hp.

I did the same thing with a 454 Winnebago to get the engine for my Camaro. Took me 14hours to get it out, with nothing but hand tools, hacksaw and a sledgehammer. Took out the seat, put a cherry picker in, blew out the wall with the sledgehammer, and rolled the engine in through the side door of my van. If there is a will, there is a way ☺️👍

Your attention to intricate detail always astounds me! I wish you had been around many years ago when I was looking for a buyer for my 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne 4 door. That car was a jewel that no one more than you could have appreciated. It had a built-in stealth mode so you could slip by cops after closing the local tavern. Cops wouldn't even notice me when I was driving that car. All that they might later comment upon was the strangeness of the fog bank that had rolled through. Please don't get the idea that I'm bragging or anything and I never intended to diminish your "nighttime sky in the middle of the day" GTO. I guess you must also realize that by giving that camper shell to your son, he's almost sure to patch a grow-op together inside and you'll also be arrested as an accomplice unless your state has legalized. That's all my wisdom for now.

You removed the engine in a straightforward manner. You did it without making a big mess and that is so cool! I am not trying to get a fight between you and the Roadkill guys but your removal video was better than theirs and you do not have a large budget. BTW, I think the Rolled Runner would be more fun to drive with a 5 speed manual - IMO.

Yay I love good content. As I said on my previous comment I’m wanting to buy that old one and make it into a good ramp truck and use the old shell of the motor home for siding on my dads pole barn because the holes need covering. Accidentally tapped the walls with the plow truck a few too many times. I’m thinking on using a Chevy suburban and cut it behind the rear doors because crew cabs around here are high in value. I’ll still use the back hatch and tailgate

The transmission PRO: Unlike most Dodge class A (box type) Motor homes, it does NOT have the big fat parking brake drum on the back. Which doesn't fit under a unibody car like a B body. Con: Has the short tailshaft. The car needs the long tailshaft. You can swap tailshafts between the three types of trans: 1. Car - long 2 RV Long with drum parking brake 3 Truck Short and you can switch between 727 trans tailshafts small block and big block. If that yoke slides, you don't have to worry about that aspect. Hey, you could even convert to having the sliding part in the driveshaft if you wanted to. I've never heard of someone using the short trans to go in a car. You'd have to make a plate about 6 inches to go from your trans cross member to the trans. And, of course, you'd have to make a driveshaft. Luckily you kept the one from the RV in good condition to use as a starting point.😁

that motorhome was braking bad anyway, so it's best to keep it still from now on ;-) also, I seriously doubt that they've been cooking regular meals in this, more likely something spicier and dangerouslier, hence the stripped interior with the only comfort remaining being a radio, a gas stove and a (walter) white paint suit ;-) can't wait to see the 440 installed in the rolled runner (I'm a year behind most videos on your channel, so bear with me)

Most people would buy a crate engine it wouldn't cost them a few thousand. You got the engine with everything you need to get it running possibly transmission. Also instead of your engine coming in nice packaged wood crate you got to drive your freaking crate home LOL!! I you didn't have to pay to have it shipped anywhere and a bonus you got a really nice generator that you could easily sell that for a nice profit and put the money right into your car which is a great idea.
