Congrats, brother! My wife and I lost our twin boys at 20 weeks. Life got bad for a while. I finally cried out to God for some sort of sign that He was really there. The next day, my wife told me she was pregnant again. I heard the answer loud and clear! Our little girl will be joining us in about 3 weeks. Glory to God!

Everything good that happens is god. Everything bad is either just life or Satan. Your wife got pregnant because that's how sex works. Not because "God" decided to give you another child after "Satan" killed the last two. Im sorry for your losses but falling back on religion is pathetic.

I just watched this movie, few hours ago, and I went with an open mind. Friends of mine invited me to watch a movie, I didn't catch the name of the movie, but I still agreed to go see it. It was powerful, this movie came to me like a prayer. God answered by taking me to my old friends and going to see a movie that I've not heard of, nor did I get to hear the title of it till the movie started. It touched my heart and soul, it really did. Thank you!

This song was one that got me through the time when my son was in a coma, with very life-threatening injuries, after a car crash (his friend fell asleep at the wheel). Then when he started recovering, and developed a deep love for Christ and Christian music, it became his 'theme song' - since he had a leg amputated after the accident - "Will I dance in your presence, will I be able to speak at all?" I have no doubt whatsoever that he WILL dance in God's presence...

I just saw this movie. I'm not "RELIGIOUS", but this movie had me in tears. The plot kept my normally short attention span fully engaged. The acting wasn't "cheesy" like most Christian movies. This happend to me as a child, physical abusive from my father. Its hard to watch this trailer, but God is restoring the long lost love he has for me. Unfortunately the physical abusive effected the relationship i had with God for years. Until CR, 12 steps. Almost 30 years it took before I could start to enjoying God's love with no strings attached to it. This movie trailer reminds me of not giving up on life which i tried many times as a child. God never left my side and pursued me my whole life, nothing i did ever pushed him away. God's pursuit for love in my life between him and I is why i am here writing this. He never gave up on me, and I hope and encourage others to ponder on that. My tears were his tears, my pain was his pain, my anger was his anger, my laughter was his laughter. Never imagined God would be so close to me through all of this.

Austin Unfortunately, I can relate all too well with this movie too. Many, many times in my life I’ve had to just focus on Christ’s love for me and put away memories that would cripple me if I didn’t focus on Him. It’s still very hard though. It’s only through Christ that I’m a smiling and happy person. I’m determined, with Christ by my side, to not let the people who hurt me win. Blessings to you!!!

At least your father was alive. You know nothing of true pain. Half of my soul has become demonic due to the life i was forced to. I challenged a prince of hell, he was able to scratch die in basque onto my shoulder. That's it. A prince. When i see god i'm going to back hand him before we get to discussing my judgement, because i begged him to kill me. No, to make me disappear entirely. Until you get to the point where wrath has consumed you and you just want to disappear, you know nothing.

Thank you for sharing, Austin! What a beautiful testimony and you're in my prayers as you continue to walk through recovery. So glad you've found Celebrate Recovery as well! CR is such an amazing program that I honestly believe everyone, at some point, should go through. It took 15 years for me face, work through and eventually forgive quite a few people I thought it was impossible to forgive. (People who sexually assaulted me.) With God, all things really are possible.

The words to this song bring tears to my eyes. He definitely made a joyful noise! I want to see my Savior's face. Moody, one of the greatest evangelist to have ever lived, was asked on his deathbed what was the first thing he was going to do when he got to heaven. He said, "going to stare at my Savior's face for the first thousand years." 💕💕

This song means so much 2 me and really help to get me through some very hard times. During these hard times I met a girl who went by Bri. This was her one of her favorite songs. I have not seen her in at least a year but if you see this Bri, I never will forget you and all the other people we met there. Thank you.

I watched this movie when it first came out maybe about 2-3 months ago And I can honestly say this film changed my life before watching this I was filled with so much pain that I was holding in from people who have hurt me in the past after watching this I changed my lifestyle into firmly believing in forgiveness I can't thank the creators of the song or the movie enough with this change of Lifestyle I am more happy and more free than I've been in a long time and I can honestly say I'm a better person than I was before I had all this pain was trapped inside me

Alright, this may sound odd but I have a very personal connection to this song and this movie surprises and amazes me to be coming out now. Years ago my grandfather (who basically raised me because my parents were still in high school) passed away. For his funeral I played this song on guitar while singing in front of the church. I broke down once and had to start over but I'm glad i did it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I've been basically living with my girlfriend and her parents for the past 4.5 years and got close to her family. Recently her mom passed away pretty suddenly. I decided I would play "I Can Only Imagine" for her funeral as well since she loved when when I played guitar or piano for her and because of how special the song is to me. That funeral was on Sunday, three days ago. I just learned today that a movie of the making of this song was coming out and in TWO DAYS. I'm probably just being emotional but this seems very special to me. I'm not normally a very religious person but maybe this movie can be special to me just like the song is. Anyway, thank you anyone who took time to read my story. No real purpose to this, I just felt like writing and sharing. Looking forward to seeing this like most of you!

I like how the film has a strong message that can easily resonate with the audience. The film was based on a true story. This fact automatically makes the message stronger because it is truth-filled and motivated by experience. It was also partially written by the real protagonist in the story, Bart Millard, who started a band - MercyMe. By having the protagonist as the writer, it gives credibility to the story. The movie has a very positive effect; I will address key aspects that were particularly striking in the film and the overall qualities that made it a fantastic movie. For me personally, some of the most powerful parts of the movie were in the scenes of Bart interacting with his abusive father. There were scenes that portrayed Bart as a young child of maybe 8 or 10 hearing his father verbally and physically abuse his mother. At one point, his father beat him and threatened him. Scenes like this teach the audience to be aware of the real attitude of abusers. In these scenes, I also think that is shows how the movie is skillfully developed. The music and the acting strongly portray the reality and intensity of abusive households. For this reason, I would not recommend the movie for younger viewers. The movie is also very inspiring because Bart never gave up on his dreams. He went after his passion for music. It helped console him after his traumatic childhood and home experiences. His father even told him in one scene: “Dreams don’t pay the bills. Nothing good ever comes from it.” As he grew up, he pursued his dreams even after being told to give up in multiple scenes. This can inspire people to look into their own lives and to not give up on what’s important to them. This may be a big dream, or it could be small, simple things. It could be life in the office or a busy mom-life. The audience members can reflect on their own lives and be encouraged to never give up. In conclusion, even though the movie is biased in a Christian way, I would still say the it has an overall sense balance. The movie itself is very well-done and I greatly enjoyed it. At the end of the movie, Bart stands triumphant. The stage lights glare and he realizes he’s gotten to where he wants to be despite all the hardships he had been through. This speaks to how human persons are held together in faith and hope; these are values that pertain to people of all religions. The message can hold true for anyone, and anyone can appreciate it.

I can so relate to this guy's story from the aspect of people around me telling me what his father told him - "And you are going to blink your eyes and you are going to realize that life has got you nowhere because you chased some stupid dream". NEVER let anyone tell you that you cannot accomplish your dreams. You and you only are the master of your destiny.

Born into a devout Catholic family but that same fervor was shown in my families alcoholism drug addiction and abuse. From the outside we looked like the perfect family but behind closed doors the abuse and addiction was front and center. I spent most of my formative years drunk or high and living an unhealthy lifestyle and definitely didn’t live a Christian life. But by Gods mercy I was saved from myself and my addictions,we give up on God but he never gives up on us…you’re not alone!

I just got out of the movie. AWSOME... Mercy Me sang this song, and. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE was my grandmothers favorite song. She died 2 days before Christmas that year. Because of a head injury I forgot the name of the group and song. So from 1999 to 2017 I couldn't remember it. When I did, I was at work and I broke down crying. I felt like I had let my grandmother down. I wish she had lived long enough to see the movie to her favorite song. I can only imagine is the only song I've ever heard them sing. Anything else would be like crumbs falling from crust of your favorite pie. Good, but nothing beats that filling. ( I CAN ONLY IMAGINE ) Is still #1 to me.
