I credit you for entering so many races. I did the same for 20 years , 40 weekends a year. Only 3 bad injuries, but they were bad. I still race 10 plus a year. I now ride at Croom 200 days a year.

Keep the videos coming. Love the entertainment with the banter between you and Tom. Not so sure about the smoother camera setting. Feels like a view from a drone. Good standard setting when doing the hard enduros as you are not going so fast and you get a much better impression of the course. Keep up the good work.

He’s got a point though. The faster you go over rocks the better. You use the momentum to float over all of them. The only trails around me all range from hard enduro to sprint enduro. You literally just send it over a lot of the rough stuff looking for the easiest line.

COMPLETELY AGREE with you on the amount of stabilization. It's great seeing the bike react to the terrain just like you said! You should consider racing drones... It's a very similar feeling to hauling ass through tight trees.

Believe in yourself Zach! Try this. Before you go out and do your next incredibly stressful hard enduro, try taking off your Pro taper bar pad cover, cut out an appropriately sized piece of paper, write down some inspirational quotes that will help you stay focused and inspire you to do good and finish the race, cover it in clear packing tape, and tape it on and use that as your bar pad cover. That way, if you feel really stressed out during the hard enduro, stuck in a bottleneck, or if you stop for a break, you can just simply look down at your makeshift bar pad cover, read a quote or two, and remind yourself of what you can do mentally to do well physically.

So, I live in Hawaii and have done a few events. During the rainy season, it's some of the slipperiest stuff I've ever ridden on, it's known as Hawaiian ice. The setup I and many others use is a trials tire on the rear at 2 to 6 psi ... Depending, with tubliss. Front is a pirelli mt 16 and I divit the top of the knob with a tire knife. I even ran a trials tire on a 450x in crested Butte during a 10 day ride vacation and it was fantastic compared to the knob that was on it. Changed it on day 2 and was killing it. I have not found a better "overall" setup yet. Have you or anyone you know tried a trials tire for your events?
