@@Stonytude I disagree. They were never toxic, they were human. Couples fight, it's normal. But this is a sitcom, so of course things are over the top for the audience. If we thin always "in real life" then I could make the same argument about Joey that in real life none of the other five would be friends with a person who eats their food, doesn't pay his rent or bills. Or no real man would ever marry Monica, cause she bosses them around and they can never do anything or have their own opinions without her permission.

the Kathy arc is pretty much the peak of the whole series in my opinion. its in the middle of a season thats great just in general even outside it and it highlights, explores and tests the Chandler-Joey bromance that is for me the best part of the entire show

I just really love this show, I don't watch it a lot or over and over, but I really appreciate the effort they put into the show and the characters and how the friendship's feel REAL, and true. Where everything goes with the plot feels right and it's a lot of how to help people to make friends and keep friendships alive. I've been in the exact situation with Joey and Chandler where I'm Chandler liking, possibly loving a friends girlfriend and not wanting to steal her away from my friend.

Joey was screwing around on her, and enlisted Chandler to stall when his other date took longer, yet he acted like a man-child having a temper tantrum because Chandler dared impulsively (NOT planned) kiss the woman Joey was cheating on AFTER Chander DID tell him he loved her. Joey was just being a jerk to both Chandler and Kathy. Honestly, I wish instead of trying to get Joey's forgiveness that Chandler would've called Joey out on his slimy behavior and demanded an apology. Chandler had more right to be mad than Joey.
