I'd say the Power Blows and Launchers from 5 and the Break Blow from 6 are comeback mechanics. The only difference being that PB and PL are the best comeback mechanics ever designed since it's not just a "push button to win" situation

Wazzler is like an AI. You show him 1 thing 1 time and he just downloads every strat and immediately starts to dominate. It's something else to watch in real time.

The funny part is that when the beta ended I still needed my fix, so I went back and played my ancient copy of Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. Crazy that so much muscle memory translated - not that I was any less terrible at the game, but it was still fun.

back dash is dangerous to do after Balance update. It gets crumpled if you side kick the back dasher 3k big combo opener. best way to beat 2P is side step 3k to side crush or launcher move for you character.

The key in dealing with (2p/Down punch) is anticipation. Consider WHEN your opponent likes to do it? In My decade+ of playing most players 2p/low jab at disadvantage. The next step is understanding when your opponent is at disadvantage? Next you have to understand (what are your options)?. That varies depending on your character but there's always a option. One universal way is to side step it.. When your new or play Casually most don't. Some just continue to mash and wonder why they keep getting hit low😂. I'd recommend LAB... Set up for the AI to 2p on counter to get the timing down, and not only that just practice side stepping in general. The game opens up soo much when you start to force you opponent to adjust, and your able to press the action from multiple angles..

From memory tenchi only catches single limb non-circular attacks. So knees and full circular attacks will beat it. The best counter to down+punch is block - you will be +5 and can hit a wide range of attacks without possibility of being interrupted.

VF was the first 3D fighter, and it serves as the template fighter for other 3D fighters. Additionally, Virtua Fighter usually has way more depth than other 3D fighters for how much is packed in and how much you gotta learn. It's a more "traditional" kinda fighter.
