He didn’t really beat him tho. Maul disarmed him and force pushed him into a shaft and could have force pushed him to his death at that point but got cocky. @petej66094 жыл бұрын
Hey Louise. That's the first time I've seen that kenobi vid. A beautiful piece. Me and my brother send each other these types of vids all the time. Watching your reaction is bizarre. Its is a direct reflection of my own. You can see the rollercoaster of emotions you go through and how every beat impacts you. I just manage to control my tears slightly better. But to the vid. Yep. Loved it. I do enjoy when they add clone wars stuff into these vids. It gives them even more depth. I agree on the final obi wan and maul duel. A stunning piece of story telling and a fitting end to a feud that spanned 3 decades. The satine story ark I'm always in two minds about. I read extended universe novels. There was a young adult series of books called "jedi apprentice" written by jude Watson. In the those books obi wan loved a fellow padawan. They admitted their love for one another when they were about to die, then were saved, then had to try and deal with those shared feelings and emotions in the aftermath. In the end, years later. She died in his arms after being mortally wounded by a bounty hunter. Very reminiscent of satine dying in his arms in clone wars. So I always relate one with the other. If I had to chose a favourite obi wan scene. Damn it's tough because I love obi wan. Besides the hello there references and the fact that I have the revenge of the Sith "hello there" to grievous as the notifications sound on my phone and that I have somehow picked up the episode 3 beard stroke when I'm deep in thought. I must have subconsciously thought it was cool somewhere along the line. I watched ep 3 a couple of weeks ago and realised I do that too!! I'd say, most impactful obi wan scene for me was at the end of the mustafar duel. "It was said that you would destroy the sith, not join them!" "Bring balance to the force. Not leave it in darkness!" Seeing the pain etched on his face as he watches his apprentice, friend and brother catching fire and burning after everything they've been though together and has happened . "You were my brother Anakin. I loved you" As powerful and emotional as any scene has ever been. I get goosebumps everytime I see it or hear it when I watch "sc38 reimagined" I disagree about the music accompaniment. As someone who tinkers with instruments himself. I think the music in these fits perfectly. It doesn't make it worse. It makes it better and fucking pierces right through to that soft squishy place, working perfectly to ignite those emotions within us. Which I know that's what you actually mean. But that's the reason we're so invested in these story arks, right? To capture our emotions.

8:25 Why does music have to make it so much worse? Because the soundtrack is the voice of the universe, the Force itself. And I'm of the opinion that Maul went to Tattoine to die. I think he took that stance, and waited, to see if Kenobi remembered. Such a strike works if your opponent can't counter it in time, but if you give them a second, it's suicide. And out of all the amazing Obi-wan moment, showing compassion to Maul in the last few seconds is my favorite. In the end, Obi-wan was probably the closest thing to a friend Maul had left, and was the only one who could release Maul from the pain and suffering and fear the Dark Side had inflicted on him.

I love in the rematch with Maul he killed maul, as maul used the move that killed Qui Gon. Obi wan knew what was happening and beat him at his own game. The dark side is strong and those that resist it are stronger then you can possibly imagine. I love that quote.
@masterexploder96684 жыл бұрын
Kenobi's two biggest victories come from him being a calm tactician who expertly steers the flow of the fight. His tongue is actually a force power of his own. He baits (or more like Anakin baits himself) his enemy to do the same move Maul did, while seeing it coming and having a perfect counter for it. Then again he baits Maul by switching stances, luring him to do the same move he did against Qui-Gon. Again, Obi-Wan sees it coming and has a counter. Obi-Wan's victory against Grievous was more to quick thinking and being lucky he opened his chest before shooting lol.

The Army? Or when he and Anakin, pursuing The Shapeshifter, while among patrons inside, Anakin asks him where he's going, and Obi wan Casually & classically responds; For a Drink. Second, I had watched breakdowns of Obi-wan's and Maul's final fight before I ever watched the actual fight, so I understood the significance right away. And thirdly, he was the Jedi to entirely represent the very ideals the order stood for. If everyone had either been like him or Qui-gon, the order never would've fallen. Obviously if they hadn't gotten sucked into the Clone Wars too, but if they hadn't grown complacent and sought study more, they would've felt the shift in the Force earlier. Just got my subscription.
