I always turn off the fish location on my deeper, if you look at most of the deeper pro users they almost always use the echo locater to look for arcs in the water and not fish symbols. Good video as always though mate

That's a great shout that pal I'll give it a go. Think I need to do a bit more research regarding this deeper. Thanks for your that and tight lines👍🏻 Steve

I appreciate that but hardly top angling here :-) this session nearly finished me off. Thanks for the feedback Tight lines

The fish in the weed on the shelf, was just the weed. Deeper is making a guess at best with the fish icons. As said earlier, use the Arcs, the fish icons are for interest but take n with a big handful of salt.

You could possibly be correct although they could've been fish. I'm no so sure any fish finders are 100% accurate. The arcs can also be wrong and not always fish. Tight lines Steve

If u want to keep your pva bag dry put a layer of dirt or gravel I’ve done it many times don’t think the sticks were a very good idea 😂
@BivvyLife26 күн бұрын
I'm now using a rear pva attachment but yes there are many ways around it other than sticks 😩

Top effort mate - the rewards didn’t come on that session but onto the next one. What camera do you use on your chest/coat? Tight lines 🎣

Cheers pal yea tricky session that it was hard to take tbh. Blanks don't usually bother me as I just like being out there but had quite a few stinkers of late. It's a hero 11 black mate with the foam cover for wind reduction. I try to use it as little as possible mainly pov if I can help it. Tight lines Steve

Good video 👍 The deeper is good for depth/feature finding, but I don’t trust the fish symbols. I’m sure it mistakes weed/debris as fish most times. I put a layer of pellets to protect pva. Twigs a good idea, but even if there’s a remote chance of something getting caught on the line I wouldn’t use it.
@BivvyLife10 ай бұрын
Hi Nick, You're spot on with your assumption that these devices can sometimes misinterpret debris as fish, I had a lucky fish finder which I found completely unreliable but the deeper chirp technology is a big improvement although not completely reliable. It would make me feel a whole lot better if the fish in this vlog was actually debris ;-) Happy fishing
@NickBabington10 ай бұрын
Haha. I’d say your reading was almost definitely debris. I’ve had a chirp for a couple of years and think they can lead to more disappointment if you rely on the fish symbols. Better to use them to fish to find strong features I’d say. Most experienced guys turn the symbol off and rely on the strength of the ‘yellow banana’ (😂) if truly trying to find fish. The symbol is a bit of a marketing ploy IMO. Keep up the good work 👍

Single 6mm bread punch on a little 12 gram bomb is what you need 8lb line 4lb hooklink thats carp fishing this is just wanking in a bivvy

@@fish4fun84 yeah i no im only messing if i was fishing for carp no bigger then 15lb id use that weak of a hook link if it was on a big lake with plenty of room to play the fish but obviously if i was on a deep gravel pit with heavy lillys and weed id be using braid mainline line 25lb down to 15lb mono or somert or lighter braid
