I don't really get much time to play at the moment. Don't really have the time to do missions and stuff. So this is exactly the way I've been playing for months. Exploring settlements, and points of interest. Scavenging to keep fuel in the tanks and living the space van life. As it happens also in a Cutter rambler. I've been generally staying out of the way and keeping a low profile as much as possible. When I just want to chill out this is a really relaxing and immersive way to play.

Me too! I also play the same way just because of time constraints. Sometimes I'll mix it up and do a bunker or maybe a space mission, but for the most part, I really just like goofing around and exploring. I have a couple of decent ships so I don't really need the money at all. Besides, money isn't very useful in this game unless you're trying to buy a ship.

@@jordank1813 you should look at recent SC videos, The latest patches are much more stable and the game is really fun now. The cool thing about the game for me is that you can definitely play your way. It's a big sandbox, so do whatever you want! Yes, you can always meet somebody because it's a multiplayer sandbox and although there are a lot of places to be alone in the sandbox, there's always a chance you might meet somebody.

They have said VR will start development when Vulkan is finished, even if they have to do it on their personal time. Last monthly report said Vulkan is practically finished. So we might hear something after 3.23!

I had the lvl1 crime stat bug before, and got rid of it by using the _'surrender'_ option at a legal terminal. This was available even after paying the fine which technically should have removed the crime stat. My jail sentence was only a couple minutes long.

The game could really improve the immersive feeling easely with just adding more sounds, ambient sounds like crickets and flies. sometimes it gets way too quiet in the game. I thought about it when i did some retrieval quest on microtech at some derelicts this evening and now again watching this. Great video always enjoy these zero to hero videos.

I think most people wouldn't mind living like this - (in context of today's world) this is quite a nice living standard. Of course in context of Star Citizens universe, this is the equivalent of living under the bridge..

I like this series. I just wish it were hard to survive. This planet, MT, is relatively easy since there is an atmosphere, but it is cold, so CIG could put a time limit before you get too cold and lose function then die. There is typically a timer if the coldness is really low, but it doesn't seem to count down as it did back in 3.18.

What I love about this experiment is that CIG can actually really learn from this because there will be systems where such gameplay would very much be the center. That is actually my hope for the future development (even after 1.0) of SC in general. With every new system they should also add at least a little bit of new gameplay that is very important to the system. With Pyro for example that would be Gang-Rep. For Nyx I think it could be long-way hauling (both commodities and rare cargo) as you then would need to jump through an entire system for the first time, one that is hostile. Looking hard into the future I think Terra could be THE SYSTEM they finally reach their goals for Quantum Simulation. As for off-grid gameplay I am actually not quite sure which nearby system would be ideal for that. Something that isn't as claimed and has a lot of wild-life (most of the unclaimed systems I am aware of are a lot more barren and hostile)

I have a Corsair and a Cutlass BiS but I miss my Cutter. I'm going to have to get one back and spend an hour at the terminal trying to determine which ship I want to play with. I really don't care for the Rambler variant though, trading some the already small storage for what, an extra gun rack?

I have been doing this recently as well. It is great that bed logging is working so well and you can wake up next to a river or at an outpost. I know it isnt as beautiful but I would like to see more people living on Hurston. Or i would like to see more moon based outposts.

CLOTHES CLOTHES CLOTHES - if it's not too late, here are some options for clothes: Ventris jumpsuit in various styles from Providence Surplus, Falston jumpsuit if you can get one (was CitCon swag). Or even better, the clothes from the local gangsters who show up sometimes right in Dunboro or Aster's (or the mission destination Razor's Edge). This clothing is even better because you can attach medpens, etc., kind of a hybrid between space suit and clothing (but doesn't protect from vacuum).

This game is a continous masterwork. Of course, the producers filled their own pockets with money but they also invested a lot in the project. There is no similar sized gaming project. Can't wait to play Squadron 42 and see how great this game will be in a few years.

I’m currently heading to Astors clearing 🎉 just got the game and am coming from the Star Station after completing the tutorial. I have 34.58Gm to go…..😅 Oh and I’ve gotten a lvl 2 crime stat already for failure to comply when I was trying to complete the tutorial and when it wanted me to dock at the star station it didn’t verify that I hailed for landing permission, but it gave me the marker to land so it gave me it when I landed there 😅 So I crashed the ship when coming planet side and it apparently took out a wing so I couldn’t land….. so there is a rsi constellation andromeda somewhere around Astors clearing 😅 I’ve made it to Astors clearing now I’m just waiting for daylight

let playes create stuff and change landscapes and it opens the verse up and creates gameplay loops that might make the game even more popular to casual players. epscially if they create starter packages for those who want to enter trade and crafting so instead of a ship you get a 4km land parcel and a factory and homestead. the homested is networked to a local distribution center which lists your crafted items on that planets TDD for other players to buy also we need an p2p trade system for all resorces and items so with item bank and freight cargo we should see those things in the next year or so as they come up with the economy which i have faith will be the start of 2025

I had the thought of using the Cutter Rambler to bring supplies like ammo and medical supplies to small homesteads that are less accessible to large ships. Using bush pilots going to small villages in Alaska as inspiration.

Hopefully areas like this are populated with NPCs and animals in the future. There isn't a lot of danger in the wilderness yet but I hope it's a little more challenging to live off grid in the future.

Technically it should be. It might not be as pretty as a planet but if it’s your want to be in space, you should be able to fly out from a station and check around the L stations or asteroid belts for derelicts and loot them. Selling the goods at stations. You have all the necessary amenities in stations so a planet is not required

Hmm, yeah that’s true. You can rent a select number of ships / vehicles from cargo decks/ refinery stations, but I’m not sure if you can buy them there?
