I would suggest bringing your fly rod down to that spot next time and fishing for gar with some gar streamers, which are typically made out of a piece of rope that had been completely frayed apart. The theory is that the gar will bite the lure and get the rope strands wrapped in their teeth and around their jaw. Maybe you've heard of this technique? I know how much you love UL lures, but gar are exceedingly difficult to catch on treble hooks most of the time... Anyways, just a thought. Love your vids! Keep up the good work!
@bradypilgrim6845 жыл бұрын
When I fish for gar on treble hooked baits i count to 3-5 after they bite it to set the hook because usually they grab things with the very very top of the mouth and you’ll rip it out of there mouth every time by waiting it lets them get a second bite on it giving you a better hook up ratio
@ToothyWally3 жыл бұрын
