I've had this happen too and it always sucks..... I've started using the team catfish vice grip style grips. That extra foot or so of reach and lack of concern for not having my hands in the way has all but eliminated landing break offs...... It's what works for me and is definitely worth trying

You and I approach fishing as far as passion and personality in similar ways. There was another video where you said that every flathead has a unique personality.
