Unlucky mate! Don’t give up! Hopefully you recover soon. I crashed my r7 2 months after buying it because a fox ran out into the road, was completely unavoidable and a dent in the bank, but feels great to be back on a bike and just glad I didn’t get more hurt! Hope you recover fast and look forward to the future videos after you’ve had your rest!

glad you’re okay…i couldn’t help but see that you don’t really use the front brake much, for street riding honestly trail braking and always having two fingers over the front brake has saved me so many times when coming in too hot for the corner like that, can tighten up the radius of the turn so fast and (rightly) gives heaps more confidence/de-risks aggressive riding so much having the fingers covering the front brake at all times does make body position a bit different and isn’t efficient for the track but for public roads is 100000% worth the trade off will keep watching, based in aus (syd) wish you nothing but the best
@michaelray1st Жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing some advice brother! I don’t want to speak for him but I went down in a similar situation and also on an R7. I think that less experienced riders like me are afraid of hitting the brakes mid corner resulting in straightening up the bike and not making the corner. Also the R7 has pretty strong engine braking therefore most of the time you don’t have to use much of the added stopping power from the brakes before a corner. I’m fussing that he was also relying on that a bit too much in this incident. How do you break in a corner and keeping the bike down at the same time?
@dgphi Жыл бұрын
I agree that trail braking is an essential technique for spirited riding. If you do all your braking before the corner, then you have to be conservative with your entry speed if you don't want to crash one day because all of us misread corners at times. With trail braking you can keep adjusting your speed down as you enter the corner. I think Frisson is riding up the mountain here, so trail braking is not so important because gravity provides braking for you. It would be interesting to see him riding downhill.
@dgphi Жыл бұрын
@@michaelray1st Trail braking is braking with the front brake into the start of the corner. It is not mid-corner braking. You brake into the corner, and come off the brake as you add lean angle. That is, you "trail off" the brake, which is why it's called that. If you want to try trail braking, I would suggest starting with light braking into the corner. (Trail braking is not necessarily aggressive braking.) With trail braking it's important to trail of the brake smoothly because you don't want the forks to rebound suddenly and unload the front tire. By the way, one place I find trail braking especially useful is for turning into a side street from a faster road. If you get it right, you can do a quick, smooth turn in. Again, it's important to be smooth.

Bro.. this is exactly how I crashed on my R7 last october. Except I was riding alone, I had to pull myself out of the ditch with cracked ribs, 2x fractured collar bone and a messed up shoulder. You have no idea how much I can relate to the emotions in this video. Its incredible. And it hurts me to watch the same thing happen to you. The pain went away but the shame or humiliation is still present today after 6 months. But I know for a fact that just like me, you will be ok again. Failure = human. I can still remember how happy and excited I was telling you last summer in the DMs that I was going to get an R7 too and asking you for advice. I had just lost my dad to cancer and was finally feeling somewhat happy to have found riding as a hobby or a form of self therapy. Today I feel like a moron (and I have no shame in saying that out loud) because my riding journey has stopped before I could make some nice memories and because I have proven everybody right who warned me against riding a motorcycle and said that sooner or later I will kill myself with it. P.S.: youre still my favorite content creator and I will continue to suppport you.

I’m speechless for this one - thank you for sharing this. I’m truly sorry for the battles you’ve been through recently - just remember that all challenges given to you, are given, knowing that you can & will be able to overcome them all. I too, like yourself have to deal with this ‘crash’ record over my head for the foreseeable future - but I think if you truly want this to be a hobby you invest in, never let anyone - and I mean ANYONE - prove you wrong, keep doing what you want to do! I really appreciate the support on every platform, it means more than the world to me most, when I get comments like this. I’ve got more stuff otw - by no means whatsoever are we slowing down, we always stay growing 🌱

@@frissonyt I appreciate your words bro. Tbh the only reason why I am not back on a bike right now is the fact that my mother almost lost her husband and her only child in a matter of a couple of months. As much as I want to ride again, and trust me it’s killing me to see others live out their dream day by day, I have to reflect on what’s the reality. But for now I’m afraid I have to put my own desires aside and live out the dream through you. So keep em coming! (No pressure tho) 🫡

I love how all he cares about is the bike ! 😉. But! I just bout the white 23 R7 and have been easy, but ripping it. But don’t just give up. I always think if I dump it $$ and the fun gone ! But it is what it is. Keep going if it’s fun. If ya break n leg or arm, fix it, and keep moving! But , you look like you need to control your handeling a little more… your all over the road the whole time. Maybe just slow down and get use to the bike and feel it out. Your turning corners and angles all lopsided””. And that’s how that happened ! So be more steady and calm. But your the shit for walking it off on the ground like you’re all good 👍🏽. And u probably were. So very cool staying calm 🤙🏽👌🏽 ❤. Be safe, n slow down. It was wet and ur crossing lines(paint). Not smart. And then u Veered off like it looked like you were doing around every corner. Be careful. But don’t give up have fun, and go fast around corners !! enjoy it!😈🤙🏽. But don’t give up. Good job being tough ! Solid.😎🔥💪🏼💪🏼
