What’s funny is of all the people I’ve watched use Jackie’s kit, I think you’re the only one who did any mixing of the paints, which seems like it’d be the easiest way to stretch the supplies she includes, lol.

@@starralert2678 no doubt I’m sure the paints and the colors she picked are great, but even Jackie has pointed out she had limited space in the pack and had to throw in a single red just to have a full rainbow complement and some metallics, so naturally if you wanted multiple shades or variations, you’d have to have more paints of your own or you’d have to mix. I did see Ace of Clay bust out his own paints to get a specific metallic she wasn’t able to include for his steampunk character, so that’s the other end, I suppose. It’s still a jam-packed kit with more than enough for anyone wanting to get started in this type of crafting.

yep! I was wondering why not more people had done it. Especially since Jackie mentioned how she had wanted to add even more colors but couldn't, going as far as putting 1 more color than was supposed to in the box. Like i would've not been able to work without having mixed the colors somewhat lol

The centaur looked adorable when I saw you doing the finishing touches, but when the reveal-shots came with the background and 'snowy' theme, it brought me to tears. It went from 'so cute' to 'I am a person and I live here and have a story! Amazing effect. You are one of the few persons I actually believe when you say you are going to do more, bigger and cooler stuff with our support. Though I cannot think how this could get any cooler, I know that you know. I am just sitting here in awe and joy.

Using resin on top to make it look wet and slimy is BRILLIANT!!! I have a cute goth snail I made that now I totally need to add some resin to and see if it makes it look even more amazing. 💜

Using a gloss medium or varnish works really well too!

I found that using pastel's in resin makes a rich colour that blends 'really' well if you shave it off into the resin with a small knife. I expiremented a lot with resin and this works really well. It also doesn't mess with the 1:1 ratio for the mixing and will cure easier. If using a lot of resin for a big mold, definitely use pastel's, because I've had models that never fully cured due to the acrylic paint

Honestly though. You have to start out at the beginning of his show to get the whole picture. He’s a little bit like Goku. As this show progresses he gets better and better and all of his previous skills help make him better at learning new ones. He didn’t start out as good as he is now. It’s just the magic of compound interest!

Go check out Aceofclay or nerdecrafter. They both do videos on sculpting and give a list of materials. They know what they're doing and it'll help you get a better handle on it than typed words in KZbin comments. Not saying KZbin comments can't be helpful its just not the best medium for art advice.
