ok so i get that it's just a joke (that i did find funny btw) but i just wanna get something out of my mind : ART IS NOT JUST "VISUAL" ART just imagine for a second a music channel or a movie channel calling themselves an "art channel". That would feel weird and kinda pretentious right ? Then why do painters, sculpters etc do it all the damn time, when it's as much of an art as the other things i mentionned ? No, Jazza doesn't try every kind of art at all. He's only tried very few of them : apart from his short music phase, everything he ever uploaded on this channel was basically a representation of something in a visual way

You know, Jazza, I realized why I'm constantly impressed by your art. It's not that you don't make mistakes, or you're a perfect artist, but how you embrace it, and take risks instead of growing complacent with your work. For example, whenever you tackle a new medium or method of art, you draw inspiration from different sources, and use your own techniques to improve on your skills. In summary, you always strive to broaden your horizons, and that's something I really admire about you.

Honestly, I've gotten back into art, and started knitting (after watching one of his videos), and the only way I can do it is fully knowing it could totally suck, and be fully prepared to laugh at it and myself. Even sucking is progress over not trying, and it's not like I have to show people. Since I embraced that mindset, I've actually gotten pretty good at realism. What's more, after I lost my job due to covid protocols cutting it, I've started selling my knitting (I'm really good, but only at one thing right now, lol; I'll learn hats and stuff next off season! 😅) to make up the shortfall while I look for work. It's not likely I'll find a positon, since my Mom has cancer and we have to protect her from getting ill, so having something I can do has been a godsend. I'm even going to start an Etsy page! If I'd kept my old mentality of being afraid to fail, I'd never have realized that I love realism, or that knitting can be fun and therapeutic. I can even knit while watching KZbin, or reading my ereader. There's been a lot of positive changes in my life because of that one change, inspired by Jazza. Jump in, fine with failing, and sometimes, everything just clicks. It's real freedom.

Omg I feel the same way. For a long while I got this horrific ad with laughing babies autotuned into a lullaby and I had no way to comment on it. I think it was for diapers or something. The ad itself was a strong deterrent to ever getting pregnant though. I hated it. (I have a baby now though so I guess it worked XD)

All Jazza is doing is trying new shit for views and it doesn’t work for everyone. He hasn’t done a character design in a minute now and that used to be his meat and taters. Jazza’s channel used to feel more approachable than using power tools to carve out a big stump.
@prettypeach134 жыл бұрын
@@hurrdurr9193 you have a point but Jazza could also be doing this because he actually wants to learn new things. I personally really like those kinds of videos where he tries new things. It’s funny and ‘educational’ in some way. He does have drawing videos, so if you want to see those then go ahead. Jazza’s channel is kind of approachable but I am not so sure what you mean by that.
@paranoiarpincess4 жыл бұрын
Jazza you have really outdone yourself with this one. Just wow. The whole process was such a mood that I felt myself getting oddly emotional. I felt so connected to your process. It's such an artist thing to just get so enraptured in what you're working on that you just lose yourself in the work because it's satisfying. That feeling of making things, not for the outcome, but for that incomparable joy and satisfaction you get while creating. There really isn't anything like it. It's really euphoric and you can absolutely feel that energy coming off of this video. God I feel like I'm coming off both super hippy and extremely pretentious right now, but I just had to say this. Jazza, I've not seen a video encompass how it feels to create, for us creatives, so well as this one. I have always wanted to get into wood carving but the point of entry was just way too expensive, and I don't just mean the tools. I can't afford the space I need for the work, as well as my (severely Arthritic) body can't handle the physical exertion of it. Perhaps one day I'll get a small wood carving set and work on sticks or something lol. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for giving us that creating feeling. When I'm in too much pain to art, I'll come back to this video so I can feel it again. I also wanted to say GREAT JOB on your sculpture. You're so incredibly talented, friend ♡. Edit: I wrote this before watching the end of the video so I had not seen the part where you said you hoped we liked both the end result and the process... so emphatically, YES! I LOVED both!
