Things that worked for me: -Don't try to be smarter than your body, because it knows better for how long should you sleep. There is no such thing as 'oversleeping', because if you are sleeping for a very long time day after day it simply means you are damaging your body in some way on a daily basis and the body it just is trying to recover. You are either too stressed, exercising too much and too heavily or eating too much processed food. If you feel like sleeping once for 16 hours it means you probably need to sleep for 16 hours. -You should never use an alarm, your body knows better when to wake up. -Alcohol, weed and drugs are of course destructive for your sleep. -I also recommend the blue light blocking glasses. -Remove all light sources and make your room as dark and as quiet as possible -Sleep in a small room - it makes you subconsciously feel safer -Don't forget that caffeine is also in the tea, chocolate and energy drinks so don't consume these things before sleep -Always air your room before going to sleep -Sleep naked and use heavy duvet/quilt. -You don't need any apps, trackers, rings, smartwatches and other junk, just let your body do the natural thing. People have overcomplicated this topic too much.

So cool how you can measure the impact on all of those challenges, as you anyways always track your sleep, mood, weight etc.

Loved this video! Fascinating to hear what your experience was like. I’m definitely curious to try some of these strategies. I also recently started experimenting with taping my mouth shut at night. Only a week in. So far it has definitely stopped me from sleep talking (😅) and I think my dreams are more vivid. Feels good to breathe through my nose the whole night. I did sleep poorly a few nights though, so I think I am still adjusting to it.

Thanks for watching! Also I was thinking of trying that too! It would be interesting to see sleep data with and without

@@reysuI tried this but didn't work, until I realized I couldn't breathe through my nose well. I started using the BreatheRight nose strips to open my nostrils and has been a game changer. So if anyone doesn't have success with the mouth tape, I would try the nose strips. I stopped breathing through my mouth now and sleep so much better, don't feel as dehydrated with dry mouth in the morning. Also started drinking a lot more water through the day.

What's your sleep app there? Thanks.
@reysu Жыл бұрын
I use two sleep trackers, Oura and Whoop. There are some apps that allow you track your sleep just by placing your phone on top of your bed but I haven't tried that so there's none I can recommend. For mood I track it with an app called How We Feel :)
