I know snooker recovered from the loss of Higgins and White-but it’s really difficult to imagine snooker without Ronnie.

Most of the most gripping matches I've watched in the last few years have been with other players though... If you only watch snooker for 1 standout star, you're not a snooker fan, you're a Ronnie bumboy. He'd tell you the same too.

@@DM-kv9kj fair point about exciting matches-altho I don’t think anything comes close to the clash of styles in that 2020 semi final between Ronnie and Selby. Ronnie is one of the few characters left in any sport in an age where sportsman/women are coached to oblivion in PR sterilities and whose money and wealth have made them impossible to relate to. Its why I am probably less engaged than I used to be. Sport-like most things in life-are ultimately about stories. It’s a shame you can’t engage on the internet without resorting to homophobic abuse. I hope you aren’t as unhappy as you come across.

This is probably the biggest mug comment I’ve read in a long time. Snooker was here before O’Sullivan, and it’ll still be around long after he’s gone and will be great then too.

@@DM-kv9kj Aside from Ding, O'sullivan and Brecel everyone else plays boring. Maybe Trump on a good day. Maybe if snooker players played enjoyable snooker I would watch them. As it is, the rest suck to watch. Selby is very very good but is boring. Who cares about being a fan or not, I watch what I want to watch.

With mental health issues how I behave or what I say changes so often that I struggle to keep up, On say Monday I could feel positive about things yet by say Wednesday my mood has changed, what I say on Monday is honest and what I say on Wednesday is honest but where people struggle is on both days I have contradicted myself or so it seems but the fact is say on Wednesday when I'm talking what sounds like crap is me being honest still but saying what I'm saying almost through another person's mind and not my own if you can understand that, It's like two people chatting but with their own opinions and both being right in their own way

I'm another og to mental health too like Ronnie bless him. My First nervous breakdown was back in 1988 aged only 15 years when I was losing my Mum to cancer. Unfortunately my mum died. I ended up in a mental hospital for about 8 months. I come home and then age 16 having to look after my alcoholic dad who missed his wife. I know exactly what mental health/illness is and it's certainly not trendy to suffer with it. God bless us all. ❤

To know what's going on in the head of the best player in history, is the same as what's going on in my head standing over a two foot putt to win a match is humbling, reassuring and unbelievable. No-one owns Ronnie, that's unique in the world today.

Hated that feeling of not wanting to say anything incase you look and in turn feel like your jumping on the bandwagon of mental health, so you just stay quiet instead and suffer a bit more.

Ronnie's right though, those who think it's trendy and just an interesting thing to label themselves with are utter morons and not even worth thinking about. It doesn't cheapen what we go through. Leave the sheep to it, they're losers. Look after yourself mate 🤘

@@Phillrooneysongs Exactly. If they don't want to make something available in another part of the world, then they aren't losing anything by you watching via a vpn. I honestly don't get this blocking things in other countries thing, what would they lose by just making it available worldwide...? They could make more money doing so.
