I saw Harland do standup last year. We got to get a selfie with him after the show and talked to him a couple mins. He’s a genuinely nice guy. His standup was hilarious.

@@aogly He did at least an hour set. He had a young up coming comedian open for him who was also hilarious. I had done open mic at the brewery he performed at the night before. I mentioned it to him. He said “oh yeah?” I said “ My buddy was supposed to of went but said he thought he had covid. I asked “ What makes you think you have covid?” He said “ I don’t have any taste.” I said “ I can tell the way you dress, but what makes you think you have covid?” Harland said “ That’s funny!” Really nice guy. I hope you get to meet him after a show.

The record store in the background, Sam the Record Man, is also in the final fight scene of The Incredible Hulk movie Hulk VS Abomination. The Pizza Place Buttercup is outside of is still there, a massive chain named Pizza Pizza, but the record store is no more, its sign was saved and eventually put up in Dundas Square about 300 yards away.

As a kid, I went on a vacation trip with a couple members of my baseball team. We were supposed to go down to the coast to a place called Rockport however, there was a hurricane that hit the same day that we got there all of our plans were ruined, the house that we were staying at had no cable and could barely pick up TV signal but what we did have was a VCR and a single cassette tape of half baked. We watched over 40 times.😂 20 years later we still quote it

Thank GOD he said yes. Kenny is easily one of the best parts and the story is centered around him. One of my ALL TIME favorite scenes is when he's feeding the horse and he asks if it wants something to eat and a big lady walking by assumes he's talking to her and her response the first time I watched HB, had me DYING. Also, the scene when he's crossing out Nasty Nate on the calendar. "Naughty jungle of love" I have to say, my dearest Harland scene in a movie is his cameo in There's Something About Mary. It's SO absurd I made myself memorize his pitch for Seven Minute Abs. So stupid and ridiculous but it makes me crack when he says," Step into my office, BECAUSE YOU"RE F"N FIRED". Slays me.
