@@zsuzsuspetals Well, I'm sorry. That's what the feminists have turned you into. We're complaining because being a society of workers is all feminists think men are suited for. Women are in the position they are in because of their belief structure, just like men who for centuries have catered to women to provide for them and keep them safe. We used to be respected for that. Now we're disrepescted for it, and still expected to do it! What is required of women in society today? If a woman can't support her child. We give her EVERYTHING she needs. If a man can't he goes to a debtors prison. If a woman commits a crime. She rarely sees 60% of the punishment a man does for the same crime. Women aren't accountable or responsible for their actions in society. They have NO social responsibilities any longer, they just make demands of men!
@zsuzsuspetals5 жыл бұрын
@@mtjeeves1234 You will never find someone more anti feminist than me. I am 47 years old, I've been married for 20 years. My husband has never cooked a meal or done a load of laundry. However I also had a business degree when we met. He was completely broke. His car was worth $500. I paid all of our bills and we used my car for the first two years we were married. I worked and took care of the house while he built his business. I married him for love, not his money. But I also loved his work ethic and intelligence. His passion was his company. It took many years to see a profit and only after 18 years of marriage did we really start doing well in life. I'm sure people I'd meet now would think I married my husband for his money. They have no idea how much we struggled and how much more I had than him when we met. I resent this idea that women are just gold diggers when most of the women I know are married to men who make equal to what they make. Yes there are gold digger women out there. but it's like accusing all men of being pick up artists. It's offensive. I loathe feminism. I belong to two different women's groups that are anti feminism and pro men's rights. I volunteer with our church group in a mentorship program for young girls teachiing them to embrace being feminine and reject feminism. I try my best to make a difference. I love Chris Rock and think he's hilarious. but I also know that comedianes go for what is funny. And what's funny means something that has truth to it. But it doesn't mean it's an absolute. So for men to take Chris Rock quotes as though it's Jordan Peterson is a bit disconcerting to me. Eddie Murphy also said many times in his stand up that "all men cheat'. Would men want women listening to that? What Eddie meant is that all men like him cheat. Yes Chris is right, men will ask what a woman looks like. Women will ask what the man does. But that does not mean if the man doesn't have a good job that the friends aren't happy for their friend for meeting a guy. Same with the guys asking their friend if a woman is "hot". If she's not hot, would a guy try to talk his friend out of going out with her? No. It's just a question. It's not meant to be taken more than that. Honestly these days, most women would be happy to hear that their girlfriend met a man who can support himself.If he has his own apartment or a small house and makes a middle class living, he would be considered successful. Women can often feel very used like men. At times we can feel like we are just supposed to be things of beauty, a uterus, and maid. My husband never treats me like that which is one of the many reasons I love him. And I never have treated him like a resource. It's why our marriage works. I hate seeing men so bitter and resentful. It's understandable but it's still sad. My best advice would be to stay off the legal prostitution site, Tinder. Good luck to all men out there. There are still good women left trust me. You have to look harder for them because you won't find them on a dating app :)

Ted Michel I am starting to think romance love doesn't even exist and the concept of it is a bad thing for the human race. I think that romance love is nothing but just regular friendship love with kissing and sex added to it. It seems to me that most people who are in relationships or married are just being with someone just so they can benefit themselves (rather than just because they have a special type of love for that person). If that is true, then it would explain why most relationships and marriages end up in either a break up or a divorce. So I basically think the concept of "romance love" is created by humans, just so they could just find the right person to keep having sex with and to have kids with. In all the romantic relationships I've been in, I've never felt a special type of love for anyone. Also all the romantic relationships I've seen end up in either a break up or divorce. So that is another reason that romance love doesn't seem to exist for me. Also the reason I think the concept of romance love is bad is because it caused a lot of problems for humans by having a lot of them commit suicide (due to a broken heart) or caused them to have a lot of emotional and psychological problems. Humans can still exist without romance love; a fact that proves that is that the concept of romance love doesn't exist in the animal world. Most of the time, a pair of animals mate and have babies, and stay with each other until the baby grows up, and then they pair split up and go their separate ways. So why can't humans be like animals? I feel like platonic love is a way better and way healthier type of love than romance love is, since it doesn't cause near as much problems for humans as much as romance love does. And also almost most of the time when a person loves another person (platonically), the person will keep loving the person until they die. And as I said, most of the time when a person loves another person (supposedly romantically), the person will eventually stop loving the other person and the relationship will end up in either a break up or a divorce. And also another reason that platonic love is way better than romance love is because it actually exists unlike romance love.

Love exists. I know this because my grandpa used to wake up every day and make grandma breakfast bc she was bedridden. He'd do everything for her and she'd do anything for him and when she finally passed, he did a day later. Sure, our lizard brain only wants to fuck, to pass our genes on, but we're much more than our lizard brain. We're capable of feeling complex emotions. While we may have the most basic of instincts we also have more modern ones. One of the biggest reasons humanity has survived for so long is bc we would group up and form communities. Communal based species cannot exist without some form of love or affection for others. Have you ever seen a dog reunite with its family or mate? It would be foolish not to call that love. If they can form bonds like that, why would we be unable to do that? I know that theres billions of failed relationships going on right now. But that doesn't mean there aren't relationships that are going strong after years and years either. Love isn't about not arguing or being perfectly in sync, bc that's impossible. Love is about working through your arguments together. Living through the ups and downs of life together. Love doesn't work unless both parties are willing to put in the effort to keep it going. Love isn't easy, certainly. It's something you have to work really hard at, but it's worth it. And it exists.

You see when we look at our children we don’t consider them optional, but these days we don’t view our spouse that way. They are expendable if they don’t do what I want them to.
@Xarkom895 жыл бұрын
@@Jimbo292 I still think the love between parent and child is more. Though I agree it is important an individual loves or is content with themselves, but no stronger sign of love than to sacrifice something of yourself in order to give to another. It's a selfless act and that is what makes it stronger than self love.

And will continue to suffer. But, suffering, like any pain, is worth it when the suffering ends. Without darkness, you'd have no clue what light was. Yes, it is and always will be very painful, but try to learn from it. If you want to defat it, then do not allow it to make you bitter. Its very difficult, I know. But life is worth it.

@Miles Davidson Oh, I don't know. I haven't seen it (I'm looking at it now). On the one hand, I feel like I really know Patrice. I have a similar brain (although I'm not nearly as funny, and I'm white.) He wasn't good at marketing himself, he hated that aspect of show biz. He's also said something along the lines of 'she's basically earned marriage because of all the mental abuse he's put her through.' He's dead, though. He has an amazing amount of fans, still, almost 8 years after he died. She could be righteous in wanting to bring something amazing to his fans. I don't know exactly what her ideas were, but Patrice knew a LOT of big names. If interviews were entailed, flight costs and everything could amount to a lot of money. If I'm watching the same documentary, the guy mentions movies being shot "entirely on iPhones" and mentions one called "Tangerine" with a budget of $100,000, and claims it's "critically acclaimed" which means jack shit to me. That doesn't mean it's good. I'm not very far into this, so I don't know the final outcome, but so far it's just annoying me, and reading the comments by a bunch of toxic non-thinkers also annoys me. She doesn't have guidance right now. She's Patriceless. It doesn't surprise me if she's making bad decisions.

@Miles Davidson I go deep as a fan of the show. I've been through the Weston Patrice playlist several times, the Colin, Louis, Billy playlists, Black Phillip several times. I've listened to most of the other segments I've found, as well as being a big fan of Ron and Fez. The negativity bothers me if it's without humor or philosophy. I'm not a fan of this gossipy/tattletale/judgemental drama culture. Or, like Patrice said on Elephant in the room, the "self policing" that men are doing. Ah, Porsalin created the worm documentary, I started but never finished that. I'm looking at it again, there's some very funny lines. I actually can't tell if it's done in humor or seriousness, though. It's too boring and seemingly directionless for me to make it all the way through. I'm at 14 min in and tapping out. Even the funny lines are nothing that hasn't been said on the show. It was a long running theme that Jimmy is a coattail jumping worm. And, what I'm talking about, what annoys me about this culture; Porsalin shows Jimmy saying things that Colin says. I could do the same thing every time Porsalin makes an invertebrate, worm, etc etc joke about Jim. I'm just not into the "I'm gonna catch you" crap. I love hearing Patrice stories, what I'd really like to see is a group of his friends like Bill Burr, Jim Norton, Dane Cook, Colin Quinn, Kevin Hart, Nick Dipaolo, Kinda Vos, in a room together, telling stories about Patrice and trashing each other. I left Bob Kelly out because he won't fit indoors.

@Miles Davidson "The tri-state mollusk" is very funny, but again, I can link a show where Colin calls him a mollusk And like I said, it's not just the negativity that bothers me, its when there's no humor or philosophy. I think a lot of things affected the show, the Sirius+XM merge kinda made things a bit shittier. Opie becoming a father made him less of a destroyer; Ant going down the black people commit crime rabbit hole made him less funny, etc. I also think I went through a period awhile ago where I was listening to shows with just Opie and Anthony, no comics, and they had pretty god damn good chemistry. It wasn't the top 10 funniest moments or anything, but it was very entertaining conversations. I am a fan of the Danny Ross era. I think he was great for the show, always pulling up exactly what was perfect for the moment. Sam is such a dweeb and hip-hop gossip baby. Patrice's death really did effect the show and the world of comedy in general. Billy Burr moving to L.A. affected it also. He's not as legendary when it comes to bits as Patrice, but was always entertaining. That really sucks for you. I only found the show, probably around 2014? I think I was just getting into it right before Ant got fired. I was recommended a Louis episode and decided to listen to it. I resisted the shit out of it because of "shock jocks", I always thought Howard was boring. I remember being 13, trying to watch his show, and thinking he was just trying to be edgy. I made it through the Louis playlist, one of the last episodes being Patrice's tribute, after hearing that, I listened to his playlist and he's been with me EVERY SINGLE DAY. You definitely fucked up not going. By the way, another thing I'll throw in about Ant. I don't know if I believe that tranny thing. Marriage is a government contract that binds men into taking care of a woman for the rest of his life. Even after divorce, he must pay alimony, and if there was a child, he must pay child support and he doesn't even get custody of the children. Nothing good comes out of marriage for men. And in marriages where women earn more than their partner, women are also forced to pay alimony to their ex, however, since majority of the cases, it's the men who make more money, it's also the men who end up getting fucked in divorce settlements.

This is why humanity built civilization. Haha. You can’t just tell everyone to do whatever they want and expect a functional, efficient production line. It was forced on us in order to get people to stop thinking with their genitals, and instead think about the stability of their community. This is why we killed cheaters. It was the only way to get humans to stop running around, fucking everyone in sight, and creating massive drama that would ultimately wind up leading to all sort of insane jealousy.

i think the real issue with understanding love as a concept, is just a limitation of language. people subscribe the same word to many different experiences (lust, passion, romanticization, idealization, variations of physical and emotional attraction, etc). in western society, people tend to associate the word "love" with the concept of romanticism, rather than the concept of "human love;" the acceptance of a person as they actually are, rather than the ideas you project onto them, and an altruistic caring for their safety, health, and happiness (i.e. they way people feel about their family, pets, and close friends, but only occasionally significant others (people tend to approach romantic relationships with their own happiness in mind-"this person is everything *i* want" "this is what *i've* been looking for" "i think they're right for *me*"-but true love, in my definition, involves thinking about the *other* person). this experience is very distinct from passion or romance, so i choose to subscribe the word "love" to it; specifically "human love." (even then, i've been conditioned by society to use this interchangeably with "passion." like, when i say "i love chinese food," i really mean i feel passionately about it. i don't selflessly care about chinese food, the way i care about my loved ones.) anyway, i agree there's no objectively definable phenomenon called love, but that the experiences people have, regardless of whatever words they apply to them, are legitimatize experiences

But to say "love" is nonexistent while arguing its a product of neurochemical processes is beyond ridiculous. If love is a chemical then it exists.

Patrice and that whole Opie and Anthony show was a stain on culture. We're better off without that shit. Horrible.

@Shahaan G funniest to you and a few others maybe. I don't find making fun of callers with speech impediments amusing. I don't agree with Patrice's views on many aspects of life or that he was 'one of the funniest men who ever lived'. Opie was insecure and unfunny, Anthony was occasionally witty but also a massive bigot, same with Jim. I'll stick with George Carlin.

Anthony hit the nail on the head. When I was single and not looking for a relationship, that's exactly what I used to do. Tell them from the beginning, we're not in a relationship. Hanging out and having sexual relations is cool but as far as locking into something where one or the other had to be each other or know ones where abouts, not happening. Every one of them were cool with it and some took a bit to understand but never had a problem with it because they already knew what it was.

Yeah man I always say that as well. Sometimes I’ll always get the “where is this heading” after a few months of just having sex

Don't get married, if you do get a prenup. I'm hearing far too many stories of these shameless pitiful woman taking advantage of the corrupted and flawed legal system to steal a man's entire life just because they can. Ha, and woman wonder why men just want to fuck them and leave...

Actually, according to another JRE episode, sex without commitment is an "evolutionary bargain" men are biologically wired to be unable to resist. There's a scientific base to it, you don't have to be fucked over by other women in the past to take future ladies up on "the bargain."
