To me "I love you" from her are empty words and people try to say that she does love me in some way which makes me angry because if she loved me she wouldn't have treated me like an object or worse than she treats her own cats lmao

I was literally just having this conversation with someone. There are so many people with children who seriously should not have them. The person I was speaking to made a great point in that, we should be more well equipped before having children. We go to school to learn all these things that we didn't know about careers we want, but you're expected to just have a child without any type of intense training. I think it is very selfish to have a child knowing you aren't fully ready, just to please society. I'm at the age now that I know having kids is a definite no for me, but I would like to foster an offer child and get them out of the system and be a parent/mentor to them, when I feel I'm ready for that. Great topic and video as always.

as a psychology student concentrating on treating adolescents and young adults, i know i don't want kids because i don't want the responsibility of not raising them correctly despite having the knowledge to do so. you could do everything correctly, but mess up once and bam the child has issues. that doesn't mean everyone has to be a perfect parent or have perfect kids, but i just don't need those worries. plus children are expensive. i can barely pay for what i want in life, nevermind a kid. i also have bpd and adhd and i would like to not pass on those genes.

When I was a kid, I absolutely wanted kids. But only because I was witnessing how my parents were raising me and I was like “I’m not gonna do this” or “I would never put a child through this.” It feels inherently… selfish. Parents have kids so they can give their kids the childhood they never had. Like for my mom who grew up poor, her love language was providing lessons and tutoring for me. While my love language was quality time and attention which she didn’t give me at all. I feel like I would only have kids to recreate my OWN “ideal childhood” which sounds so dystopian and fucked up

I want a kid but don’t want the negatives that come with it. Most women have kids and thats their child, they’re the only one that takes care of that kid, regardless if they have the baby’s father in the kids life or they’re married, etc. Most dads don’t help whatsoever and you never really know what that man will be like with the kid until its here. I just don’t want that risk. I don’t wanna raise a kid myself and on top of that feel like I have to take care of everything else too. Its giving a bad decision

i agree w everything u said. if i were to have a kid id honestly probably resent it. having to provide for someone else that doesn’t even know how lucky they are would be so exhausting for me.

I like kids! They’re pure balls of energy and their honesty is appreciated and HILARIOUS. However, a kid from MY genes seems very much delusional

It is nice to see that I am not alone in feeling this way :)

Thank you for making this! I've always been made to feel like I was crazy or weird for not wanting kids, but I don't want them for all the same reasons you listed here. From now on, when someone asks me why I don't want kids, I'll just send them this video

My sister in law is 24 and just bought a house with my brother, 2 new cars, went to the Maledives for their honeymoon and have their 2nd baby on the way. WE ARE THE SAME AGE I HAVE NOTHING!!! I live in a small apartment, I’m single, no car, no money and I don’t want kids. Every time there’s a family gathering it’s so awkward because she is every parents dream child and I’m the family disappointment lol My parents want me to be like her so bad it’s so humiliating 😭

Nah baby be uniquely you! Own it. Focus on what you have and what YOU can achieve. Don’t go chasing dreams that aren’t in YOUR dreams. ❤️

You might want kids to store as food for later use. People use to do it a lot back in the days when they lived in small tribes. Mukbanging your or other people's kids can be a good idea to reduce overpopulation

I don't want to have kids either, I've been thinking about this for a minute, adoption would be a great idea for when I get financially and mentally stable in life.

I have the same thoughts at the age of 33. It's crazy how relatable this video is to me. Thanks for sharing.

“life is inherently suffering” is a fact, it’s frustrating when “life is good” is thrown around everywhere and you see toxic positivity everywhere. people don’t want to feel their emotions everyone is pretending to be happy and cheerful constantly like….

Almost everything you said in this is how I feel about society/kids/capitalism. How it wasn’t our choice to be here.
