In this video, the Twin-Turbo V12 saga continues. I figured out the insane issue with the hydraulic ABC suspension and all was great. Then bad things happen and the first drive was a total disaster. If you have any idea what the new issue is then drop a comment. PLEASE!

My S55 had an Accumulator fail and did a similar thing. The Accumulator has a diaphragm with 3000psi Nitrogen on one side to act as a shock absorber. When they fail they can send material into the line. I got lucky and found the piece sticking out when I replaced the accumulators. One way to tell you have had an accumulator fail is fluid will push out of the resevoir.

I havenot seen you testing all the actuators/solenois for action AND blockage...maybe the coils are open or fluid passages on solenoids are plugged in. or worst the suspension ecu is damaged and not actuating the valves...

Run the engine and crack the bleed nipple on the back until air spits out and new fluid comes out. Make sure the system doesn't go dry, this is where you need an apprentice on a ladder for 30 minutes gently topping up the fluid

Did you blow the front to rear lines out from both ends?? Could be a blockage which you moved blowing from one end and it pushed the fluid out. Good luck videos are excellent 👍👍 I noticed one of the lines didn’t blow through straight away, it looked as if it jumped and them spurted! 😂😂

do you think now it could be a electrical problem with the system like the solenoids' to the back section not working . this is not a criticism but do you think you might have got side tracked with thinking it is a blockage and over looked the electrical side ?

This is exactly how I feel at work with travel nurses and FEMA nurses… Our customer service has vastly deteriorated due to these nurses being soooooooo god damn lazy and not answering any call bells and literally leaving for break right before their patient crashes… Corporate has decided to come down and have us take a “Customer Service” class… and the whole time we are all like… “we don’t care… we don’t care anymore. Why do you give this class to the nurses y’all are paying $120 an hour” 🌚🌚🌚

@@deandalapanda It's like this in the NHS. All you hear is "it's time for my break, it's time for my break, I can't do it get the doctor to do it". Fkin lazy. Most of them can't be bothered to get out of their chair to do something properly and spend more time justifying why don't have to do something than actually remembering they're there to care for someone in need. Their handovers are absolutely awful as well. You could be 11 hours 59 mins into a 12 hour shift and if you ask some of these nurses about the patient they're supposed to be looking after you cannot believe how fast they respond with "I don't know the patient, I just met them today". Oh, really? So what have you been doing for the last 12 hours? Don't even get me started on the ones that don't even speak English properly...

Exactly. The fails are what we learn the most from, not the insta-wins after replacing one common failure part. Alex is such a good guy, I hate to see him disappointed after so much time and effort. Don’t give up, my suggestion is get a schematic of the hydraulic system so you know what lines are activated and when. Then get a set of pressure gages and T them into the lines and trace each circuit and manifold with your pressure gages till you find the circuit that is not reading the correct pressure. You partially traced your circuits to see if they were plugged, what you really need is to know what circuit is not pressurized. It’s a solenoid, manifold, or other switching circuit that’s not getting pressurized. An accumulator self destructing like that will have a lot more pieces than what you found. I expect there are pieces of accumulator lodged in a solenoid or spool valve.
@snwboardn21

Yep that is the best way to systematically figure it out, put your own line off the side with a gauge to see exactly where you stop getting pressure.

You saved me long before this episode. Your CL65 spec has my 'car-guy profile' all over it. Champagne taste on a beer budget my favorite uncle would admonish me...Jumped eyes wide open, instead to an XK8, and never looked back. Your adventure with this is riveting

Alex, " you are the best" this brings back memories of me rebuilding the suspension on my Bx 16v Citeron in the early 90's, I had many sleepless nights and I was a Peugeot Citeron Tech. Check the rear solenoids or could be bad rear struts

You definitely need the fluid topped off and the air bled from the system. I'm not an expert but I work in the hydraulic industry. Air is your enemy, similar to brake lines. Also, solenoid valves don't last forever. The valve internals could also be packed with debris. It doesn't take much to block up a valve, pretty sensitive

If I understood correctly there are screens before the solenoids, so that should stop anything large enough to clog them... at least in theory which isn't always reality.

Dude! I watch all your videos and love them all, but this one had me feeling just as defeated as you looked at the end! You’re so freaking awesome at what you do and saying that from the LazyBoy of a DIY retired military mechanic who loves tinkering and fixing his own rides, don’t ever give up! I understand the frustration, but you’re almost there! I will say though, if I’m ever inclined to get a early model CL65 AMG, I might have to think about it first! 😂😂😂. I love my Black 2009 350 Sport and love doing most of the work myself. In the future, maybe you can be my knowledge source if there’s anything that could trip me up.

There's logic behind the operation of the system. Have you tried reseating the controller or relays associated with it? The valves are dumb devices which open and close based on commands given by some controller somewhere. Find that controller and or relays and remove them from their circuit boards, clean the contacts and reseat them. Check the boards for burn marks. Also check the fuses.

No KZbin personality deserves a Gofundme established for automotive therapy more than you do. This saga is more detailed than my boost creep investigation I performed on my 1998 3000GT VR4 about 10 years ago. That car was retired to a used car lot in sacrifice. Keep up the great work!
