1. better locks, best locks, no commercial junk (use online resources to figure out what that is in your area/price range, plenty of locksmith forums). 2. a lifter foot that can be locked. Lift the trailer at an angle that prevents it to be towed, then lock it in place with another, reputable lock. 3. have FabDaddy build you a proper lockbox from thick metal that fits around the tow point for the really good lock at point 1. 4. several tracking methods. 5. wheel locks + interwheel wheel chocks 6. an alarm system that's internally mounted. 7. change all the valuable locks on the trailer to proper quality ones. 8. never show ANY of these modifications on camera, never show keys, never show anything that gives up the valuable safety of anonymity. multiple locks = hassle. thieves are comfortable people by their very nature.

Quick point of conversation regarding the generator. Test the power output on it before you start using electronics with it. Here where I live we had a weather event meaning power outages etc and people used generators like that to run electronics servers etc. Tl;dr is that the more expensive ones have better power modules keeping power clean. Ones like that while fine for stuff that doesn’t care about clean power (power tools for example), will absolutely destroy and kill stuff that does.
@thatguyb3rt
@thatguyb3rt 8 ай бұрын
Came here to say the same thing, this is an old school generator that makes AC power directly and the voltage fluctuates with engine RPM. They're not generally considered safe for running sensitive electronics. Rob is going to want an inverter based generator, Honda is the big name in inverter generators but there are other options too. Inverter generators make DC power and then use an inverter to convert the DC to AC in a very clean manner.

The way you locked the straps down massively increases the static load on the track brackets. I'd strap down over each tire with one strap each and then find something to hook onto under the car to tie back to the hard points. You're one really hard stop from breaking the car free as is.

A proper trailer will make events a lot more enjoyable. Yeah the box hurts fuel economy, but having shade and proper tool storage is going to make you forget about the lower mpg. Also locks and don't show them on camera or in person, email the lock picking lawyer or McNally and see what they recommend. The best way to keep stuff from being stollen is by making it a titanic pain in the ass to steal it. Dismounting the wheels and removing the hitch if its going to sit a while are a better deterrent than a hitch lock. Free generators are good, but a new one would be safer and a lot quieter.
