Hi everyone! Welcome back to the channel after a 5 month break from camping. On this trip I continue my road to bagging 100 Munros and after visiting Ben Cruachan recently I decided to take on a much more demanding route which is significantly longer! Hope you enjoy.

Do whatever you feel like, do what makes you happy...the rest will take care of itself. A wee set of panniers is handy for the bike - pump, Inner tubes, yada yada yada...whatever you don't need for the hills. 👍

Just do both mate, i love to watch camping and hiking/day trip videos, one thing i particularly like is kit break downs, what kit you are using for that particular trip etc even simple things like what jacket you and bag you have today etc, what's in your pack for a trip like this. Gives a lot of newer campers/hikers like myself food for thought, like am i carrying to much or am i missing essentials etc

I’m getting back into the camping with the winter coming up but it’s great to hear most folk would like to see my day trips too. Cracking video mate, didn't even realise you have a new upload good to see you back, was saying to monty yesterday i'm just about to order myself a pannier rack for the bike to do a bit of bike packing myself, quite fancy the route that passes loch ossian/corrour train station etc looks quite decent.

@@Kev_Russ Cheers Kevin. I think I’ll need to buy a drone next year to add something extra to the videos. As for the day trips. I definitely feel that some of my trips this year were that good I wish I filmed them so I could look back on them. Midges are a nightmare mate. Nothing worse than them getting in the tent as I found out last weekend. Might be worth revisiting the area again for a winter camp in the snow. That’s me back on KZbin. These were the only Munros I’ve biked into (my 100th & 101st)! I experienced the worst midges ever camped beside Bob Scott’s bothy last Sept. Literally 1000s of them in the tent. Keep vlogging, love your videos. 👍

Thanks mate. The day hike videos is definitely worth considering next year. Don’t want to have a 5 month gap between two videos again. The midges kind of ruined the camp and the plans I had in the evening but I managed to get the two hills so overall one of the best trips of the year👍 ATB Gaz.

Hello Gary Good to see you back after a leave of absence so to speak. The midges can be a real pain, where I live it's the mosquitoes and black flies, which I'm sure are on steroids. I need smidge, I'm itching lol 😆. My answer to your question is... I do like the camps and I'd also love to see a chilled out beach camp, with maybe even a home made sand BBQ pit and a few beers if you drink. One last summer camp before autumn is here would be great (21st September I believe) but honestly, as someone previously said, do what makes you happy, I enjoy watching people hike too, its good to see what gear is used, for camping and/or hiking, I also think food is important, how its cooked, what on and what you're having. Either way I'll look forward to your next adventure 👍. P.s., I do like the ones you do with Monty and vise versa.. sometimes it's good to have company 😌 ☺️

Thanks Gerry. I’ve been lucky that most of the time I’ve not had to deal with midges. I probably would not of done this trip but after getting the mountain bike I was definitely excited to use it and this route is perfect for the bike. I was warned about the midges in the Cairngorms when there is no wind. Definitely worth saving this route for a day with a slight breeze. Thanks for your feedback. ATB Gaz.

I think you have to do what you want to do. Making you happy is key before making others happy. Tbh you come across well and a mix of stuff is good. Day hikes are great and helps lots people. But do what you want and what you choose isn’t for life it’s for now Great film btw Calum

You did so well with the midges. I bailed my camp attempt at Derry lodge last weekend because of them. Really enjoyed the video. Wouldn't worry about including day trips etc as videos on the channel... They are still adventures afterall!

A drone would be a good addition to the channel. Maybe get one for next summer.
