That "trail" looked steep as hell and typically it looks less steep on video. Like so many others have already commented. Foresty Forest is physically a machine and mentally he has been doing summits for a while. I think it is safe to say I wouldn't have been able to make it any where close to where you did. Great job.

There are all different levels of fitness. I am an avid skier and backpacker. Many years ago, I started skiing with a group of skiers who skied at a complete other level. The first year I skied with them I felt I was just hanging on. As time went on things became much easier for me and I was accepted into the group as an equal. Simmon is a hammer, and he is super fit. Stay safe and live to hike another day that is what is most important. Take care.

Very brave. I've done those things in the past and made the call to turn back for others. Leaders look after the others even when it is you yourself you are leading. It isn't losing and I think you sensed that. It is interesting to see how much you can push the body past where you think you can go. I don't like losing time healing from overextending but you can't know exactly where that is unless you push pretty hard. I spend more time on inner mountains in time now but my spirit always rises with the altitude. "Two steps and a heartbeat."

In the mid 80s, I and 2 friends ascended that near vertical ice gully seen at 1:25 and it was a big 50 degree ice face back then, with glacier at the bottom. It's all but disappeared now. We descended this route Simon ascended. Easy way down but hours of unpleasant rubble. Still easier than downclimbing or rappelling a 400 metre high ice face.

I really like this awesome video Massive congratulations on climbing the higest ever! I will check out Simons channel seems like a great guy. . Its funny you say its a painting. There are parts of the Himalayan mountain ranges that do not even look real. Its just like you say like being in an actual painting. Some of the scenary from up in the muntains is so amazing. Even some of the animals and birds do not look real. Seen some goats that are the same color as the snow and rocks and perfectly camoflage and when they stay still almost invisible.
