To sum up, the key to successful Facebook Ads in 2023 is to embrace broad targeting and Dynamic creative, focus on the quality of ad creative, and continually test and analyze ad performance.

Good summary. I think the big one is ad creative.

I do not think this is the sum up. This is the easy sum up. There is much more value in the video and it's about the focus on the creatives and less on the overall process, leveraging the help of AI, which even to seasoned marketers as us, can hep to reduce production time.

I started noticing things that typically were working on Facebook stopped around 8 months ago and started adapting to it and having better performance. I am glad to see that I am on the right track, though I am going to tweak a few things based off of stuff I saw in the video. Sometimes the "old man" Lando side comes out from habits, and I have to break those lol Fun thing about being a Millennial is that about 80% of the stuff I learned in college... is now obsolete lol things have changed that much in less than two decades.
@Adamerhartvideo Жыл бұрын
Lando my man!! Yeah it's nuts how quickly college gets outdated (especially in business and marketing). But yes you're on the right track with ads if you're continually learning and adapting. A good way to remember to do this is that ads are literally an auction so you need to create better content to beat the other ads being shown.

I think it's important to note here that he's not using any targeting parameters to help dial in his audience because he's running with "conversion-based" campaigns that utilize pixel tracking. These campaign types are able to target your audience effectively, but are only available to people who have pixel tracking installed. Even then, one has to run campaigns for a while to allow the algo to harvest enough data to use them effectively. If you're account is new, get that pixel installed but you'll probably have to test with affinities/interests until you accumulate enough data from your desired audience.

Hey Adam, Nice video, FYI for anyone not using the High Level software you recommend is the real secret to the sauce here - you need to follow up on people who responded to your ads, or you're wasting money. I just ran my first low-budget FB/IG ad as an experiment. I ran into one colossal issue: My target audience is authors and authors alone. When creating my targeted audience, I type in "Author," and it doesn't come up as a job title/work position, even though authors constantly input "Author" as their work title on Facebook. The only thing that pops up is specific author names as Interests. Using the " Writer " job title is very broad and will reach people who are not my targets (journalists, technical writers, etc.). Do you have any ideas on targeting authors specifically when FB makes it incredibly difficult?

Still struggling to make Facebook ads. It’s so complicated. Is the ad setting in the app the same as the one online? Cause that one’s easier to use. Do I have to use my Facebook business profile that I created? I don’t want to. My personal Facebook has way more followers and I don’t want 2 Facebook accounts. Is the account purely to make ads that go to Instagram?

I am going to give you a BIG tip. Right from the outset you have this kind of anxious sales driven type of persona that screams at the viewer I have an ulterior motive and I'm just doing this for profits and to sell you something but I will give you a few convincing tips about advertising along the way. Saying things like make sure you watch the whole video is a giveaway because if you are delivering exactly what the viewer wants they WILL watch to the end, you won't need to tell them. The only reason a viewer will click off your video is if they are getting no value from it. The reason people will avoid you is if they feel uneasy or slightly anxious when listening to you because they don't want to be led down a rabbit hole of paying for other products they don't need and if you are pushing these things with an intense persona then peoples guard will be up. My advice is tone it down mate!! Get to the point faster and try and come across less intense and relaxed. Show your genuine personality and people will engage with that and their guard will not be up from the outset. Don't tell them to watch your video, instead make your video irresistible and valuable to the viewer. I came on your video to learn the best strategies to use for running a FB Advert and I feel I have to go and watch other videos now because your video was filled with too much marketing rhetoric and did not go into a useful level of detail which to me is a fail because you failed to give me what I was looking for. Also if you had delivered better content and were really engaging I would be looking through your other content for more tips. Rightfully or wrongfully people will make an assumption on your other video content from watching just one video and if they don't engage with or get real value from the content they will go elsewhere. I hope you don't think I am just trying to be mean because this is definitely not my intention. Your video creative side is very good, but your sales persona and focus on delivering the relevant detail is suboptimal. You need to connect with people in a personal way instead of being a sales and marketing robot. Yes, you have a healthy level of subscribers but it could be double or triple.

FB changing up their ad settings again. We used to be able to choose "conversions" as a campaign objective. Now it offers us a choice of "Leads" or "Sales", and in BOTH it includes "conversions" under them. So which one would correspond to our main objective of generating booked appointments for businesses?? further details: when i choose "leads" as the objective (thinking OK, lets do conversions leads), in the adset where it says "optimize for..", the only option given is "leads", with no mention of "conversion leads" (just last month that was an option) 2. if i select the "Sales" campaign objective, it removes some of the event choices from the Pixel, like the "Schedule" event. What would be the best option now, to "match" with how it used to be before? (conversion objective to schedule appointments)?

@commentsgonecrazy Жыл бұрын
Retargeting is used for retargeting people that have interacted with your ads for example you would install the Facebook pixel on your website or landing page so people that have clicked to visit your website are now tracked by the fb pixel and the fb pixel can then be used to retarget that audience or similar to people that keep interacting interacting with your ads
