This is heartbreaking… truly heartbreaking 💔. It makes me sick that after serving our country he lives in the streets and now has mental health problems. I'm sure he wants to quit and make things right. But can't do this without you, Lord. He needs you. Help Aric Rescue him. Strengthen him. Give the willpower to not take in any more alcohol again. Give Aric the strength to face life sober. When things get difficult, remind him that you are with him and he doesn't need alcohol to pull through. Help him to get his life together. It's ok, brother. I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm trembling, puking on myself. I'm 118lbs. I'm scared of going to the hospital because I don't want to go through withdrawal. I've been dealing with infection for months. My heart hurts. I have endocarditis. My hearts failing and I have a 18 yr old daughter and a wife of 13yrs. I have a home and car and my home is almost paid off. I don't want to leave my wife and I have everything to lose. I'm scared and don't know what's going to happen to me. Pray for me plz!

This broke me to see. I 100% knew in my heart that he is a veteran before he mentioned anything about it. My intuition picked up in it immediately. I could see the pain in his eyes and voice that I see in so many hurting survivors of war. I pray to God that he can find peace, love and solace in life. He is a damaged soul that is in need of and deserving of a lot of special care right now. No one should be living like that, especially someone who sacrificed so much for their country. It is truly embarrassing to America and so, so depressing to see a hero living on the streets without the proper care he deserves. Please God help Chad. He is worthy of recovery and a good life. I myself suffer with CPTSD and I am a recovering addict. I have also recovered from a 22 year eating disorder that almost killed me several times and other mental health issues. I have been homeless and estranged from my loved ones. I am one of the lucky ones who has been so blessed to have gotten a second chance to be the person I've always wanted to be. I got into rehab and got myself clean from street drugs and onto the methadone program because I have severe chronic pain. Methadone saved my life, as it has millions of other people. Now I have an apartment, exotic pets (reptiles, frogs and tarantulas), and a spouse. I'm 36 years old now and I recently even started high school! I never thought I would be able to say that. Especially at my age. I didn't get the chance to go to school from grade 7 on when I was young because I was really struggling with my mental health through my pre-teen years until my mid 20's. I was in and out of psych wards. I still have struggles with mental health, but it is managed properly, and I don't self-medicate anymore. My entire life has changed in the last 3 years since really starting to work hard on my problems. I believe that it's never too late. I want so bad for everyone suffering with addiction to heal themselves from their pain and find peace and happiness. So many of us are just severely traumatized people, or people suffering from chronic pain disorders who aren't getting the help we need for whatever reason. Anyone could end up in a similar position. You have a lot of people praying for you Chad. I hope you can feel the love we're all sending your way. Bless your heart and soul.

My kids dad died this year do to drug use we hadn't had contact for about 8 years and got the news!! He was in the marines and he had surgery and never recovered went straight to drugs and then died. This stuff is so heartbreaking

If he was an undocumented immigrant he could be housed in a high end hotel for free, a free phone, help finding work, etc. but he's just a Navy Vet so he's only entitled to his probably paultry disability payment and that's not enough for housing. I too am a Navy Veteran and I work as a DVOP and he Really needs to go to the VA or see a Veteran Service Officer, VSO. This is very sad and in my job I see it all the time, but a lot is due to they dont know they can get service connected benefits and VA health care.
