The story got an update, and it just make him look worse than he already had, no one, excepted him, resent Miranda for not helping out with the kids, not even Alice, she didn’t ask anyone for help, the grandparents just do it bcs they want to. The worst thing is he resent her bcs she was actually parenting him and not allowing him to be spoiled when he was a kid.

Story 1: how can the family seriously be okay with their daughter/sister/ whatever being in an abusive relationship? If the guy is as bad as they make him out to be then ultimately that kid is better off dead as he'd likely be abused by the dad not to mention he would have just been used as a pawn to control or manipulate the original poster's sister. Story 2: the original poster sister is right in that it's not her responsibility to feed someone and their kids which they cannot seem to stop having. And frankly the original poster is apparently either not mature enough and/or not smart enough to be able to recognize that having kids that you cannot properly care for or provide for make the sister that he or she favors the bad parent.

Hearing the title of the first story made me think the op was the jerk, but turns out they just framed themselves badly, they are definitely the best person in the story, they also gave the sister 5k without asking any questions or something in return, one of the best ops, despite the bad framing in the title

Story 1: 100%, not the jerk the family such as mother , brothers and ex however are. The sister was pressured to date and married a man who ended up being an abusive pos. OP saved her life and gave her a way out keeping her from being murdered by an AH. He definitely isn't the jerk.

Story 1: The family is too conservative to see the reality of the situation. The sister is just supposed to stay with an abusive husband? This isn’t the fifties, people. Keep in mind, domestic violence has been known to escalate to murder. Story 2: Miranda has a case of Jerkass Has a Point. Miranda may be a little cold, but she is right in that Alice has made terrible decisions resulting in she and her boyfriend having more children than they can afford. Seriously, did the two of them even attend health class in school? Get condoms and birth control pills if you’re going to be having sex all the time. Either that or get a vasectomy and get your tubes tied. Story 3: The Karen and other coworkers are just being a coffee snob. Story 6: The half-brother took advantaged of his father’s weakened mental state out of greed and got a pyrrhic victory out of it.

Story 1: No the OP isnt a jerk at all here, and unless i misread/misheard here, it didnt sound like that the OP had any hands in what went down with the sister's pregnancy.... just the 5K for getting away from the bad husband. Also, why is the family so against this? The husband that the mom found was clearly not a good person and the sister had absolutely no business marrying and giving away all money to. If anything, the mom is the biggest jerk for setting the sister up with this guy. Hopefully the OP and sister can go back to low contact with the family here. Story 2: Sorry, OP, but yes you're the jerk here. Miranda doesn't have to support or give more money to you, Alice, or anyone else here. If helps out in anyway, thats fine, but she doesn't have to blow all her money on Alice, or anyone else. She made it, it's hers...and you and others are going to have to live with that. As for the OP's comments, those really were out of line and i can totally see why Miranda kicked you out and blocked you. We dont know the reasons why Miranda can't have children, but that doesnt mean she would be a bad mom. That crossed a huge line and definitely struck a nerve with her, especially since her husband left her over it. Story 3: This one is hilarious and ive seen and heard similar stories in the past. People just do not know exactly what they are eating or drinking.... in this case, coffee. They only judge it based on the name of the logo/company on the bag, not what it actually tastes like. Good on the coffee bar owner for playing along with this and hopefully he did get some more business out of this. Now, as for coffee Karen, i would've just told her to rack off originally and if she didnt like the coffee i brought, then she can just bring in her own and that i wouldn't be bringing anything in at all in the future. Story 4: No way is the OP a jerk here.... the boss is and i really do hope that that boss loses his job as a result of everything here. What he said and did to the intern was extremely callous and im surprised there was a mass walk-out right on the spot because of it. While its good the OP and others sent it resignation letters, i think all those that quit should've just walked all at once. Always seems to be bad bosses that wreck it for everyone. Story 5: Stuff like this is why online gaming can be totally unbearable. Always some young idiot that does stuff like this, thinking that there will be no consequences for their actions and comments. Least this jerk was prema-banned for all his antics and hopefully doesn't create any new accounts. All the more reason i stick to console gaming. Story 6: The brother here got exactly what he deserved here. Talk about karma. He very clearly took advantage of the father here when he was not in a great place of mind here and pretty much drained his money. Good on the OP for making sure he can't do the same to the mom here in her will.

@alpha-sama
@alpha-sama 6 ай бұрын
Story 2: OP is absolutely 100% the jerk here. First and foremost, no one is obligated to (financially) contribute anything to Alice's household except Alice and her boyfriend. If you wanna help out that's fine, but expecting other family members to spend their free time helping out Alice or throw money at them just because they make a decent amount is extremely entitled. I really feel for Miranda because her parents and brother are straight up getting mad at her for not allowing people to take advantage of her. I get that Alice may be OP's favorite but if he looked at it objectively, even he should be able to conclude that Miranda has made much better life decisions than Alice. She had a kid right after high school and kept pushing them out when her family has a relatively low income. Having kids you can't afford to care for is the stupidest and most selfish thing you can do. Miranda on the other hand is doing well for herself, and she really can't be that cold when she invites her brother (who has clearly treated her wrong) over to eat muffins. And what does OP do when she tells him about the Christmas presents she's getting Alice's children? He's entitled enough to ask 'Why not more?' and when he's called out on his bad behavior, he purposely tries to hit her where it hurts most. I could call OP every name in the book and it would not be enough to properly describe how much of a dirtbag he is. He could do most anything to atone for this, and it would not be enough to earn Miranda's forgiveness. Without a shadow of a doubt one of the worst original posters I've ever heard about.

Story 1: the OP of that story just gave his sister money to help her out. He didn't specifically tell her to get a divorce and kill her baby. That's on her. I have very little support for abortion, but neither would I want the sister to have to deal with a POS husband like that either.

Story #2 OP is a naive AH. He didn't really listen to his aunt when she tried to answer him. He probably has never had a job to pay for things he wants and have people try to help themselves to his money regardless of if he wanted to share it. He's listening to other selfish people that think his successful aunt should continue to work her demanding job and then fork over her money to support her sister who should have made and still needs to make better life choices. He doesn't say why his aunt can't have children. Maybe she did get pregnant and had a miscarriage or multiple miscarriages. He doesn't say, so he might not know, and after what he said, I doubt his aunt would ever want to explain the utter devastation of being told she couldn't have children. Yes, she could adopt, but that's expensive, and she's not guaranteed to get to adopt. I think he was basically just trying to tell her she should give more money to her sister and wasn't actually trying to learn about why she wasn't.

Story 2: Miranda actually sounds like a nice person to have as a Wife / Partner bc eventhough she said it coldly it is the truth that she is not responsible for her sisters kids and family and financially struggles so i dont even know why her husband ditches her JUST bc she cant have kids. ( Adoption is an option )

Brooo, "Miranda" was right. It's true, nobody is obliged to provide for someone else's children. Nobody. You can ask nicely, but it's her life, her money. If the other sister decided to be a stay-at-home mom, well... she shouldn't rely on others to take care of her. Just because someone is blood related, doesn't mean they should give away money to someone else who DECIDED to not work.

Dude, the child would most likely suffer if she kept it. The husband was abusive, and he would probably have no problems abusing the child too or using them against the mother. But hey, call us monsters for supporting that a woman escaping her abusive ex. Who would probably end up killing both her and the child if she had stayed that , or would he have used the child against to make her stay. Yet we're disgusting cause you would rather support a fetus not born yet than admit that you clearly see no issue of a man mistreating women.

Plus, having a child while trying to get her life back together from escaping an abusive relationship isn't easy, but hey, let ignore the abuse op sister was going through and focus on how she is bad for having an abortion. The only disgusting opinion I see is your.

Also life is never easy, you get the hand that's dealt and you roll with it the best way you can, trying to justify a woman getting rid of a child through an abortion because life too hard is a sad sorry excuse and many of your ancestors are rolling in their grave. I know a lot of people whose parents sacrifice a lot for their child and a lot of them are happy and healthy. So getting an abortion to escape an abusive husband is not an excuse. It really shows how immature and weak a lot of you people are and how little you value life.
@ApolloDragon
@ApolloDragon 6 ай бұрын
@animegamer501stthelastyeet8 Life isn't easy, but I don't mean it right to force a woman to carry a child that for all we know, she was forcefully impregnated in the first place. How did she react to finding out she was pregnant, make me think the husband SA her as part of his abuse. Plus, bringing a child into the world when a person didn't even have a choice to get pregnant is beyond selfish. Justifying abuse and mistreatment of women is extremely disturbing. She has every right to choose not to carry the baby to term. Getting mad because "life is hard suck it up" is the same BS her family did. They don't care about her or the baby they just wanted her to be a door mat. Maybe instead of whining about what could have been, maybe grow a heart and know that not a woman health and body is her own choice to make. Forcing her to carry a child to term is barbaric
@ApolloDragon
@ApolloDragon 6 ай бұрын
Only the person who is immature and weak is you and anyone who acts like or supports the ex-husband of the sister. Nobody should be forced to carry their abuser baby. Nobody should be forced to stay pregnant in begin with. It is her body her choice. If you can't accept that, then you don't care about women or children, especially if you think that they don't deserve to live their own life after years of manipulation and abuse.
