Oh girl my septum piercing went BAD. dude didn’t even mark it out, or count down or use a clamp. He said he didn’t have the right sized needle he was usually gonna use but just did it anyways. I finally did it! I got it pierced about a week ago and I'm obsessed with it. My piercer was amazing and my pain rating is a solid 3/10 and I'm a wimp. If you're afraid of needles, just close your eyes as soon as you get into the chair. You'll barely feel it.

brooklyn I got mine a few weeks ago now and I’m a huge baby when it comes to pain but it’s not that bad tbh. Mine was sore for two weeks but I did keep messing with mine, of course you’re not supposed to. It’s best not to mess and you should clean it and you should be fine. It’s quite easy to forget it’s there but it shouldn’t hurt too much if you touch it

@@k.i.aparadox1451 just be really gentle with it. Your piercer should tell you how to clean it but when you’re in the shower and cleaning your face just be gentle around your nose. The tip of my nose was what hurt the most but it’s different for everyone. If it does hurt a lot to begin with it would probably be best to avoid it when showering but it shouldn’t hurt that much. Hey 👋🏾 I just got my septum pierced two days ago and I had it done by a very experienced and skillful piercer. What I prepared myself for was way more than what actually happened lol, it was quick and painless and in the right spot. I had minimal bleeding and when this heals I’m considering a couple more piercings! BTW, I’m 55 years old 😊 and the last time I was pierced (before this) was in the mid 90s (nostril piercing). I’m excited 😆

I got mine done a month ago and I’m in love with it, honestly the clamps and the healing process hurt worse than the actual piercing did. The tip of my nose was so sore for a week after I got it and then it went away. It doesn’t hurt after a week unless you bump it or get a crusty on it. 10/10 recommend a septum.

Got mine almost 5 years ago and I absolutely love it. Hurts initially but the pain does go away. To me it was as if getting your ears pierced because where they pierce it, its as soft like the ear lobe. 😍

My septum was honestly the least painful piercing I’ve ever gotten. There’s a really thin little triangle of skin called a “sweet spot”, and if pierced right it’s pretty much as painful as a lobe piercing. As a professional piercer, it’s super weird piercing them because it’s literally like cutting butter.

Just finished getting my septum done!!! Honestly, It’s all depending on YOUR pain tolerance! The needle going through felt like a tight pressure pinch. And afterwards hurt since it pulsed a little bit but then soon went away! It didn’t hurt too bad though and I have a high pain tolerance. It was worth it for me!!!

@Ellen Arnold yeah, I did that and it was good. If anyone wants to know, you can make one out of some thin wire (make sure to bend the edges so you don't scratch your nose with wire!). If you can't do that, edit one onto a photo of you.

I’m getting mine done on my birthday on Monday. Just wanted to watch this so I can see exactly how it’ll work as well as watch how the customer reacts to the pain. Edit (12 August 2021): for anyone who might see this and is contemplating getting theirs done, it’s almost been 2 months and I love it so much. It’s already practically fully healed; I accidentally pulled it out this morning and it was absolutely no trouble putting back in, not even the slightest bit of pain associated. I couldn’t be happier with getting it, and I hope this helps you if you aren’t too sure whether you want it or not.

Do the ear lobes count? I would think anything besides the lobe area are considered because most people have their lobes pierced. Most females get them done when they are babies. I got 6 for the lobes, and 2 for helix (gonna get second helix) and getting my nostril done.

I just got my septum yesterday and it went terrifically. If anyone is interested in getting a septum, please do! They're awesome piercings and suit just about anyone. Just make sure you find a good trusted piercing studio (not a tattoo & piercing shop or a mall based shop) and you learn how to treat it properly :)

I absolutely adore my septum piercing. It took 2 Months to completely heal and it suits me really well, even though I have a big nose. In fact, it let's my nose seem smaller. Everyone I meet compliments it. The pain was okay (it definitely wasn't painless for me) and the healing was really easy and fast. I would 100% do it again.

They’re called “stretched ears/lobes” not “gauges”. The GAUGE is just a unit of measurement. So when you tell someone “Oh! I like your gauges.”, that’s like saying, “I like your sizes!”, which obviously doesn’t make sense. And the jewelry itself are either plugs or tunnels. Trust me I’d know, I get this ALL the time.😏
