@wickedreelz50286 жыл бұрын
That is livid funny... lmmfao and very likely factual. I'll tell ya tho on big HP cars E85 builds are so much easier on the wallet at the pump should you drive them daily... my Supra was setup to ran 100 Octane that I could only get at a few filling stations and was well over 4.50 a gallon and the car even if I stayed outta boost was a filling nightmare (I daily drove the car and at that time it was a 940 to the wheels build) on its last revamp she is now E85 and I can get it at a good bit of stations around here and it hovers around 1.90 a gallon. All my build cars are E85 setups and it's so much nicer then how 5 years ago I was building. It is a hassle with multiple built cars (2013 STI making 700 to the ground, 840 to the ground Evo X and a 95 Supra thats now making right around 1100 on the top but i drive her on a tune profile that makes 550 and is relieable as all get out, tire swap, change the profile and now shes a running 9.5s in the .25 then a tune profile swap and drive from the track cross country) to drive them each with no more then 2 or 3 days in between as E85 isn't exactly friendly to sitting in a tank and not being ran.

The thing you must understand about middle eastern culture is that we value relationships more than material things. I recall my dad had this watch he really loved, and one day a new friend of his complimented him on it, and they started talking about the watch, the manufacturer and watches in general, and they were both watch lovers ... at the end of the conversation my dad just gave him the watch. Not because he can just afford another one, or its disposable, but it sends a message of I value our relationship more than I value this watch.

Yeah this sort of same thing happened to me with my neighbor. I’m only 14 so I can’t drive yet and my neighbor (who daily drives a rally BMW 3-Series) randomly pulls up in a stock Supra turbo in blue. Now stock Supra turbos are no joke, and are legendary and expensive. But he knows I am obsessed with cars and says “well how would you like to rev it?” And I was like OH YEAH I WOULD!!! So he lets me get in and I look and thankfully it was an automatic, because I didn’t know how to drive manual. It revs really loud and I revved it a good 6 or 7 times and then he says “how old are you?” And I say well I’m 14 and he says would you be confident enough to drive it up and down the street and I will never forget that and obviously said yes and he said ok and he got in with me and I back it out of the driveway really slowly and start driving and get down to the end and he’s like ok now go faster and I put the pedal down like halfway and it’s just off like lightning it was so fun.

This was absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing. Our cars are lime our babies. Yet we trust anotber car guy just as we would trust ourself. He knew you through KZbin and trusted you so much that he just knew that his car would be better of at your house under your watch then the airport. Incredible. Cars bring people closer. Thats why we call this car culture.

Being told you didn't slap the limiter enough is a great, but expensive way to live.

Esa or Essa sorry for the spelling, is a great kid! Just a good soul to share your baby with another great car loving soul! Sure you saved about $1000 by giving him your car and you knew he would burn some E85 instead of letting it stagnate but that is just a benefit of the hot rod community!

I had a friend who found a Mitsubishi Starion that had been garage kept.The leather interior didn't have a crack in it.It was a loaded stock turbocharged car that he changed from a single to a twin turbo set up and and once he got it put back together and tuned I absolutely loved that car, just amazingly fun and satisfying to drive.

My car was similar until about 130... At 130, it started lowering further to the ground - much more dramatically.. everything gone really quiet.. really smooth ride. RB20 in mine. Always in a closed course... unfortunately I was in an accident and my frame rail got slightly bent - not much.. Slow speed accident, but you only need 16 pounds of force to break a neck, and that's what I had. Internal partial decapitation. also a broken back. It's been sitting for about 8 years. Interested? It was mint on the inside, but now the dash has crashed. I installed the Japanese 180sx automatic climate control system and did a video on how to properly install it. I either need to move it, or sell it. I also have some off brand kouki lights I wanted to install on it for the conversion but the accident happened and my life ended. I'd love to see it moving again. I had it tuned to 400hp generally with a larger turbo but I put bigger rims on it - my mistake because they were a lot heavier so it took a lot longer to move. I should've gone 350 with a smaller turbo and tried to find higher speed rated tires for the stock rims, or found larger rims, but smaller than what I got - but the guy did a straight trade for my original rims... which is why I did it. I have a ton of spare parts, etc... feel free to contact me.

9:36 it has nothing to do with generosity, people who love their cars are also extremely proud of them, and handing the car over to someone famous in the scene to review it is probably the pinnacle for some.

Ed, when are you going to have Steve Lehto of Lehto's Law on? YOU NEED THIS GUY! - He wrote for Road and Track. - He has a podcast and a KZbin channel - He wrote about classic American race car drivers. - He got to drive one of the cars used by one of the drivers he's written about. - When he was young, he used to drive tow trucks, so he has stories there. - He's driven some real american classic cars and trucks, including a former WWII military vehicle. - AND, he's a consumer advocate and attorney, so he has a lot of stories about bad cars... (Isn't that part of what VINWiki is about? Identifying cars with troubled pasts?)
