My daughter was a dancer, got a degree in Modern dance, but decided to not to make a career out of it. Yes, you sharing your perspective on the passenger side and knowledge as an employee in the cruise industry would go a long way. I have learned a lot watching you the last week. So keep it going with things to do or not do, and crazy things you have seen passengers or employees do, if your allowed. Keep sharing your knowledge. I really appreciate the it!

I was a contracted entertainer in my 20s, and then in my 30s found myself doing the auditioning and hiring of the next generation of performers, so I appreciate where you're coming from here. There were times where I really wanted to hire a previously-contracted performer but I could not simply because there was no longer a spot, typically because (as with your case) the show had changed. There were times when being a "specialized" performer (one who does a particularly thing particularly well) was an advantage. But when they particularly skill wasn't needed, versatility was the advantage. Generally, we classified performers as either "singers who can move" or "dancers who could carry a tune". So-called "tripled threats" -- performers who could do sing, dance and act all equally well -- were rare. These performers seldom sought repeated contracts with the same company, moving on to ever better opportunities. The entertainers that continued coming back again and again, however, were generally good at everything but great at nothing, dependable, reliable, and capable of learning well. This video was "pre-covid", and EVERY entertainer missed 2020. But as I write this, cruise ships are likely preparing to go back out to sea soon. I hope you find new opportunities doing what you love.

Justin, I have been going back through your archives and discovered this presentation. First, you are the type of human that any corporation would be proud to have employed. I was a cop and got fired (very valid) and soon started working for the airline industry. It was the best thing that could have happened for me personally and the world became a better place for me no longer in law enforcement. You have such a talent and personality that the world is your stage. We are blessed to be able to watch your performance.
@PfizerRN_NavyReserveCaptain3 жыл бұрын
With a Law Enforcement background, and time in the airline industry, have you ever considered working for the NTSB or FAA? We had two Municipal LEOs who decided to leave after a off-duty fatal shooting where they were sued, lost the case and the PBA Local was barred from involvement, for some strange reason. We knew them because they were EMTs. They were, for the most part, barred from Municipal, State and Federal law enforcement jobs? Didn't help that they were only one and less than two years out of the Academy. Both had aircraft experience as A&P Mechanics. One went to FAA Compliance. The other is an NTSB Investigator.

Tampa (I’m native here 3rd of 5 generations) once didn’t have a deep enough dredge to handle larger ships. They started dredging deeper & completed big bend about two yrs ago. My hubby has been a Tampa port employee for over 43 yrs & we would ❤️ to see our port become another Miami or Orlando. With bigger ships & an ever busy cruise industry. I hate driving 2.5 hrs to Orlando or even longer to South FL.

Well Justin, you seem to have taken it in stride and that is good. But on this side, it is with regret that this news greet me. Hopefully you will still come to us with your KZbin videos. I will miss "Ship Life" but will equally look forward to and enjoy whatever you undertake and share with us. As they say in Spanish: Vaya Con Dios mi amigo.

Don’t worry I’m not upset. It’s honestly time that I give all the extended traveling a break and get to know my home again. My son is getting older now and needs me. I see it as a blessing in disguise. The Shiplife will definitely continue! I have literally hundreds of things to tell you guys so you don’t have to miss anything! Hope you are well my friend

This is a handsome, healthy guy. Get hired by a police department anywhere doing anything. Once you get hired you’ll be able to learn the department and which jobs there interest you. I’m a retired civilian with a 30 year pension and a 401K. I get group HMO insurance that I pay for. In 2 more years I’ll get social security.

My wife traveled a lot with here last job...(good food, very nice hotels etc) . It gets old and very quickly. When it comes to beds and toilets....there's no place like home.
