Beautifully stated. I am so pleased you came to the conclusion that a GLP-1 would have helped your patient. I have been eating a ketogenic diet on and off for over 25 years (fully *on* now, thankfully). I have a very good understanding of what I need to eat and why. However, being prescribed a GLP-1 changed my life. It's truly the reason I can now stay *on* plan indefinitely. I have a sneaking suspicion that people who have struggled with weight for many years and/or who have ever been morbidly obese, likely have a metabolism so broken that these medications are the best choice and most effective way to successfully help them stay on track with eating a ketogenic diet, for life. I've never been on more than one prescription at a time (just for antibiotics for an infection, and briefly on thyroid medication). Doctors have wanted me to take BP meds, statins, and thyroid meds, but I refused, and went on carnivore. Don't need them now! But I agree with others that you should accept that invitation! And encourage them using Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Ovadia, Dr. Shawn Baker, and others as resources.

I suspect that we with disease are more susceptible to toxins even from normally healthy foods. We have to be vigilant and stay vigilant. Fasting is a must. Community is helpful for many of us. Exercise is a must. Clean living to reduce toxins. I've made so much progress through going strict keto, but maybe it's too late with stage2 grade3 Tripple Negative Breast cancer. I started eating this way instead of che@mo following Dr. Thomas Seyfried's way of eating. This has healed me of a lot of other maladies. I do not even want grains now. Dr. Boz, Thank you for all you are doing and being the person that you are. I think you did the right thing by not interupting your class schedule to attend the inauguration. You will have many opportunities to work with RFK's people. Inauguration would be mostly waste of time and drain of your energy. Wise choice !!!

People we are so lucky to be alive to witness these great individuals: Trump, Elon, and Dr. Boz. We have an angel amongst us. It takes an insane amount of self confidence and self love to say no to an invitation from RFK Jr…what a compliment and feather in your cap. But to say no because your message is more important to you than allowing even the slightest possibility of being compromised by pomp circumstance and politics is truly awe inspiring integrity. Dr. Boz is the real deal. It was another long winded explanation from the doc to get to the point but it was worth the listen. I was so against Ozempic and the such and today I learned how manipulating hunger hormones can assist in certain circumstances. It can help someone stay the course which can be very difficult for some people, and buy them time to get into ketosis. I agree that you should follow your heart and stay the course.

Why did you not have her go carnivore. It is so much more satiating than keto. I did keto for 7 years and now 1 year carnivore. I think the difference is so remarkable. Much easier to get off all the bad stuff.

I've been doing it for 19 months. Doing fine. But it's not a diet anymore, it's just how I eat. I'm no longer "limiting" carbs; rather, I just eat stuff that has no or few carbs. Mostly fatty meat, especially beef, bacon, eggs, sardines, butter, cheese, and cream.
