It's not about age...it's that the challenges became more shocking because nobody was gonna pay attention to say...grinding on a board and then busting your sack open because you landed wrong, or do the dances (like I find the dances cringy as heck at times). Heck, the nsfw ones are kind of interesting because you are at least trying to prove whether or not something is possible, and at the same time, you provide eye candy, but some of these are either jokes taken too far because someone thought about the first event, and then it got viral, or people who are into the scene trying to fit in or do things with "friends". Also, I don't suggest Tik Tok, especially if your videos are gonna end up even shorter than what they are...unless you doing Gameboomers content.

Getting a fromt page on Newgrounds was the zenith back in the 2000’s. After ‘Bitey of Brackenwood’ came out, the ceiling was raised and doesn’t look like it’s come back down again. I know what you mean. Back when I was a kid the internet was just starting the golden age and we were in this group of kids that were exchanging HTML we’d found online for our own sites and a constant arms race in Flash animation. But the internet at the time promoted that, it was all about what you could do not what you were. This was a time when Weebl was being talked about on the playground and legitimate skill was being nurtured through passed notes and theories. Damn, I miss those days.
