Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise has haunted me since my early youth. Transformers 2 is one of the first movies I ever remember being genuinely disappointed by. In a way, this is my origin story.

Personally, I always tried to explain their origin as being created by the aliens, Quintessa was their leader, transformium was the material her and the aliens used to build them, the allspark was an artifact they either found or created (after all optimus says that the transformers don't know where the allspark came from.) and used it to bring the transformers to life and give them their sentience, we only see the allspark bring machine's to life and turn them into transformers, but we never see it actually create anything from scratch, there has to be some sort of machine or robot Alien or human made constructed first for the allspark to give life to, it can't just physically make transformers out of thin air. Of course I'm probably just trying to make sense out of inconsistent writing, but I'm just saying that there are ways you can make sense of it.
