Yall, I'm not the husband in this letter. But 100% I was that husband to my ex wife. We divorced. I kept up my drinking. Then I died in a hospital. Thank God I had checked myself in 24 hours prior. It's been a year and half since the hospital. It took my dying to see the light. I was eventually strong enough to see the Light. God bless you all. Jesus is inside us all. Just listen. ❤

As the child of two alcoholics, this REALLY affected me. My parents have been deceased for years, but the pain of having lived in those circumstances unfortunately remains. This was an awesome video, and testament to your ability to make a difference in so many lives. I for one like the silly videos too...but ones like this, that literally changed someone's life are the reason why I, along with so many others, " stick with ya". Well done Kevin!

Thank you so much Kevin for sharing this letter with us. You use humour as a way to connect with us/ your viewers in a time when our society has been especially unkind and ignorant in almost every direction. Keep on keeping it crazy Mr. Lake. Your message is gradually getting through thick heads and hard hearts. Blessings to you from a loyal fan.

Fabulous! My late father and late brother both practised the dark art of alcoholism. Both were rampant narcissists with 'entitlement' and stole to finance alcohol and drugs. They abused me, my mother and anyone in range and were the only people on the planet who were right about anything. I disowned my brother and went through a 4 year legal battle to stop him stealing the entire estate of my late mother, and won the case. He had intended disinheriting my late mother's sister, uncle and me to continue drinking and idling. Someone had to make a stand and I did. So I can relate to your viewer and you deserve Kudos, Kevin. You are my kind of Crazy. Charlie in England.

Mr Lake. Sir. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the message you carry. Late 2019 I came out of a, self imposed, private rehab facility. Whilst in there one morning during breakfast routine. The radio on in the background. A story of a yeti sighting (Australian word for Sasquatch) in the Gympie area, in South Eastern Queensland. Approx 2 hours north of the Queensland state capital, Brisbane. That conversation piqued my interest in Bigfoot, again. I wrote you a story about my brothers sighting. Sorry I don't know if you shared my story (sic) my brothers story. However I returned into society after 12 months rehab and was researching the phenomena of bigfoot when I came across your channel. And yes. The infamous. Or should I say the now famous and much watched video "how to get rid of your neighbour with just a crayon". From then on I have occasionally followed you. Yes my mental health is not 100% ( veteran ptsd etc) but I always come back when my God puts the message I must hear in my face. Per se your video today came up in my feed, on top. Gods way to remind me of how fortunate I am and how I must be more grateful everyday. You give me the humour, humility, confidence and the courage to share my story. Thank you Mr Lake 🙏 may your god bless you eternally.

My 17 year old nephew took his like just 2 years ago, LORD how I wished someone could have talked him into a different head space. Alcoholism runs in our family as well , If it didn’t my brother may have been a better dad and my nephew might still be here , my brother has quit drinking now and I’m so glad , but his broken heart due to losing his son may NEVER heal …. Prayers for all that deal with substance abuse or alcohol 🙏🙏🙏

Hello. I suppose I'm am a sucker too. Maybe not as long term but still one the same. My first marriage was good in some ways put lacking in others. My husband would give me an allowance for the week of $25.00. With this I had to supply food, cleaning materials, clothes for 2 adults and two babies. Oh but he would spend money on a $35 polo shirt. This was 1974 and even then it was difficult. I learn to be very thrifty. Oh and he cheated. That I would not stand for. My second marriage ended because of drinking. I offered to go to counseling with him. I ended up telling him he had to years to become a husband and father we needed. It did not happen. Yes I stood up for myself but I took a long time to see the problem. I'm a caregiver. I will try to help if I see the need. But what I have learned is there is a lot of deceivers. I have been told I'm too nice, a sucker but if I know what is going on I'm not being used. Right. Well wishing you all a great New Year.

My heart has been touched deeply by this. I lived with an addicted to alcohol father, then addicted to alcohol husband, and eventually my addicted to alcohol self. Childhood was rough at times. My husband and I were functioning adults holding jobs and worked hard. Self medicated in order to function and face life. Life is much better without the daily burden of carrying around that albatross hung around my neck. Keep on doing what you do. Keep on being you.

I have been a sucker for my entire adult life, I divorced my first husband because he was addicted to several things, never held a job for more than a month or so at a time and he was verbally, emotionally, psychologically abusive. My second husband died from alcoholism. He had a good job and made good money, more money than I did, and he was an amazing person. Until covid hit, then he couldn't work even though he wanted to. He was a highly functional alcoholic. But when he couldn't work anymore, the depression and anxiety he already suffered from got worse. That's why he drank so much, he felt free to be himself when he was drinking. He tried so hard for at least 5 years to quit drinking, he just couldn't stay away from it. Addiction is not a disease, it's a symptom of pain, be it physical, emotional or psychological,it's about pain, and he had a lot of it. God bless you for helping people. I think God used you to reach her and probably many others. I wish so badly that I had done the same thing she did, he might still be alive if I had, he was best friend, my everything. Thank you so much for your role in saving that man's life. I wouldn't wish my situation on my worst enemy. People don't realize how much of an impact you can have on others. You can change someone's life with just a few words, too many people abuse that power and use it in a negative way. Which is what leads many people to addiction. Words are so much more powerful than people realize. Thank you for using that power in a positive way.

Not wanting to sound judgemental first off may i say that i love your channel, i may not always completely agree with every little thing but all in all i believe your channel to be the absolute best ever! With that being said, i do not agree with the lady who says she was a sucker, i believe God used what He had to in order to give her strength and courage and to give her husband his sobriety. I know that i, as a recovered addict and also somone who loves someone else who struggles with addiction, am not a sucker but rather someone who loves beyond flaws and needs loved beyond my own. Thank you to the lady who shared her story and thank you mr. Lake for being you regardless! Much love!

Kevin you continue to inspire all these years later. Life is a long twisted road but people like you make the world we live in tolerable just by the sheer notion of being alive. We as in most of us on this planet are being lied to and deceived. Not you, and not the ones that stand with you and everyone else who questions everything daily. You have become everything those in turmoil need, bona-fide living proof that despite the insurmountable bullshit in our world grace and goodness can and will prevail. You show the way just by having the undying spirit to keep moving forward and question everything that doesn't seem quite right. A lot of times it's just the confirmation that someone else exists like you that can change a heart and mind forever. You are blessed sir, continue to share that blessing at your convenience but never question that you have shared it unto others a hundred times over. You are a hell of a role model for those of us myself included that after years of service got branded undesirable by the US military and society as a whole. Thank you Mr. Lake.

I was a suckered too. But my husband hit me for years then say sorry. I was a 14 yr sucker but I loved him because when sober he was the most thoughtful and kind man. We divorced after a very abusive moment. He never changed for me. He was also addicted to crack. Since our divorce because of me he lost his teaching job after he was arrested for hitting. He was at his job when they took him. Then he lost the house bc he couldn't pay his part to me because he has no way to borrow the money so now it has to be sold. I even got the dogs. But I just worry he will come back and kill me with all he has lost because of me due to his actions. He threatened me so many times and beat me and chased me with a knife. I just wait. The court will not give another restraining order again until he threatens my life again. I am still in the house until it is sold. So he probably doesn't sleep thinking about how he would like to remove me from this world. The court knows he is dangerous but doesn't care because they have allowed him to come to the home service the HVAC himself because that's his career. That's what he taught. So how inconsiderate is that to allow the violent abusive ex to enter my place of living without any police protection while here. The police also told me they cannot go there and sit without a court order. Im not going to leave because he is a thief also. People are afraid he will plant drugs here and then call the police on me. My lawyer said it is not the judges job to protect me. I ask my lawyer to have another HVAC person service the units. Nothing is broken he just wants to service it and come inside the house to be nosy. That's fine but the court should give me protection. I get 5 days notice before he comes. I will try to have someone be here but I don't have many friends anymore thanks to him and most work or far away. I am armed with a gun and God. Peace everyone, love while you can.
