Justine I don't understand why so many people want to correct your pronunciation. Would they do that in person to you? I think not. The main thing is you made a delicious dish. "I love onions " like the song said back in the 1950s. Onions are healthy, favorable, can be used various ways. Besides the delicious way you prepared them they are great raw, cooked in stew, a roast, on a pizza, roasted with butter and Worcester sauce in center, in a dressing, a dip with sour cream etc. If you have onions lots of dishes can take on a different flavor including scrambled eggs with onions. Love those little pearl onions with sweet peas 🫛. Keep cooking. Great 👍 👌 chef giving people new ideas 😊 🎉 🌹 💙 💜 💖

Onions in this dish are cooked but not caramelized. Not trying to be picky but there is a big difference.

As a lifelong resident of Tennessee, I'll bet you no one in Tennessee is eating a side of onions unless they're deep fried first & served with ketchup. Whoever gave you this "recipe" is laughing at you while watching this video & rolling on the floor. Bless your heart.

I found this recipe on the internet a few weeks ago and make it all the time. I use sweet onions, I’ve also added cream of mushroom and cream of chicken. The recipe I found also puts parmesan cheese on top. I once added boneless pork chops in the bottom of the casserole dish then put the onions and cheese on top. It’s a delicious dish.

How long do you cook with the porkchops added?

I basically just cook it til the chops are done which is very long cause I use small center cut chops, I also tried it with boneless, skinless chicken thighs the other day and that turned out good as well. We are always taking recipes and trying different things with them.

That dish needs some taters... either sliced or shredded. the onions also need a little longer to brown and caramelize properly. Great base recipe though 👍 Some panko crumbs or crumbled potato chips on top wouldnt hurt either just an idea 💡
