I mean, it's kinda sad to see, but at the same time... this is how demand increases --> sales improve --> jobs are created --> and eventually how investments go up in value. I'd be lying if I said this behavior wasn't helpful to most people's portfolios. 'tis what it is

Everyone has to learn sometime, can't hold it against him, most people have made bad financial decisions. I come from a poor family, and did well for myself and wasted a ton of money before finding Dave.

I remember at one point that was my thoughts too. I drive a 2013 Camaro and didn’t want to put too many miles cuz was my dream car. Luckily I shot that idea down quick, because I rather just have fun and drive it until the wheels fall off than go into more debt.

they need to start asking folks how much their insurance is on these things too...trust me been there done that....car payment at the time wasn't the issue. When you added the insurance to cover that financed car..it got dicey.

My college wrestling coach (one of the greatest coaches to ever step on the mat) ALWAYS told us to save up and buy a used car flat out. I’ve worked and paid cash for every single vehicle I’ve ever owned, and so has all my teammates. I have an idiot buddy who thinks his brand new Jeep is too cool for school but that shotty debt to income ratio because his car payment is $700 a month ain’t too cool Remember. As SOON as a brand new vehicle is driven off the lot...it’s a used car and value drops significantly

"I don't want to put a lot of miles on my car." I've never understood this mentality. When I travel out of town by car, I actually will drive my own car. I'm not going to rent. I have my own car.

Why renting gets me a car that they will take care of and if anything happens their insurance pays. If itis mine I have to do it all. It just cost more to rent but for me it is worth it for sure!!!

When my siblings and I were younger, our dad would drive the older car (putting about 150-200 miles a day). But he would also get dependable cars like Toyota's and Honda's. He didn't need a brand new car for work. The newer car was still few years older and it was the family car.

Renting a car can make sense in some circumstances. I rented a car for a weekend trip where I put 1100 miles on it and only spent $140 on the rental. The wear and tear and overall depreciation of 1100 miles is easily $340 or so for my truck. Saved $200.

Same! I always drove $5000 older cars through my early 20's and earlier this year finally spent $19k cash for a much newer and faster used car.. that was 25% of my income and I still felt a little uneasy about spending that much.. Can't imagine going a whole years income into debt on a car.

They are drowning and debt and nobody has bothered to point it out to them, or they are too distracted with something else to have noticed. And as long as banks keep lending everybody seems happy to be borrowing (stealing) from their future. Thought people, and banks, would have learned their lesson during the subprime mortgage crisis.

Which one did he buy, because it very well could be an investment! The V10 and V12 will be replaced soon by hybrid and electric engines. Those Lambos are going up in price especially if it’s an Aventador!

my guess, they brought too many extra Warranties and carried blance from a old car . example: 18k is not 18k. after fees and being sucker in it be 25k

Man - this must be so overwhelming. A car is to get from point a to point b. If she need to put miles on her car , then put miles on the car. If people just bought cars for the purpose they were invented for (transportation), then they would save so much money (no need for the bell and whistles )

Another thing they can do it get a consolidation loan 💵 after they sell the cars and have a lower interest rate they can save about $40-$50k and will finish the loans faster and buy cars that’s way cheaper.
