I hope you continue to upload throughout your journey, both on the road and in life. Life is really hard for many, many people and you certainly aren't alone in that. At the very minimum, by sharing and documenting your experiences - the ups and downs - many people will resonate with that and know that they also aren't alone in the struggles in life. Especially single men in their 30s and 40s. Maybe that's not what you want and that's fair, but just what I thought of when watching your video. Spencer it's Mark from Western Australia, I think you're damn brave doing this, not many people are game these days but with the risks will come experiences in life you just can't get from a book. I lived and worked country in my youth and I found if work dried up that the smaller the towns I went to the more the locals would try and give me work or give me accomodation in a shed or farmhouse while I did ploughing or other work and then refer me to others who may also have work. I found that they really respected someone who would go farm to farm or door to door asking for work, I then learned to shear sheep and was quite well off doing that. Something about that small group community spirit and them reaching out to help a stranger has stuck with me. They seemed like the hardest, rudest joking critics, then I realised, wary to be conned because their hearts were strong but human. I got the most work and made the best friends in the smallest towns, just sayin if you get to need basic labouring at any point. I wish I was your age and setting off like you are, you're a true being now, not a brick in someone elses wall, i hope you have a smooth run and some luck along the way but in the end it's your determination that will see you through, Regards mate, Mark PS let me know if you have any severe troubles, I can always help out.

Hey Spencer. I’ve had enough of the UK and I’m moving to Da Nang in Vietnam. Everything is a 10th of the cost of the UK. Great weather, lovely people and a big digital nomad community. I’m a bathroom fitter, I’m 54 and I’m throwing all that away to become a travel vlogger on KZbin. Like your good self. Like it’s your calling, I feel it’s mine too. Hi, It's not really stuck to just the American Dream! It's really everyone's Dream or thoughts to live a great and happy life. To have a roof over their head Food in their stomach. Clothes on their back and health care taken care of when needed. No matter where in the world you are at. It just happens to be that a lot of people want to come to the United States. @@ams1897 Yep, sure thing! I've been of 'no fixed abode' occasionally myself. We do have the same issues, but we do have generally much better safety nets for when things go wrong in life. That's not to say some don't still slip through the net, of course.

The US also has a lot of social welfare provision, I believe, it`s just a lot of it is provided by philanthropic societies rather than the state, so not as easy to access. In general though, I agree that the US does have a strangely bad provision of welfare.

The one thing I have found through my own divorce is that once the dust has settled a world of opportunity opens up because, without dependants, you can take risks that you just can't or would not be allowed to take when you have them. And when you have little to lose, you can take big risks and some of them have big payoffs. Stay strong, get focussed, go for it.

About an hour outside of Atlanta up I-75, 25 miles from the perimeter. If you need a place to rest have a yard you can park. Would go West to East on Route 66 and postpone for a couple of months due to the weather you may encounter in the upper Midwest during winter. Keep candles in the car if stranded for warmth as well as water and blankets (I lived in ND 50 miles from Canada for a year). Enjoyed EAS-21 and I am also a Tarheel from the Triad. Welding runs in my family as 3 of 4 my father's children can weld, my brother was in charge of welding machines repair at Mickey Body, and my younger sister helped build a couple of the displays at the NC Zoo in Asheboro. I can weld but have done so in years. And I am another who sends you warm wishes and hoping you stay safe and healthy as you get back to from where you landed.

Yes i have a son in his thirtys at home as he cant afford anywhere to live. Hes camped out in the kitchen at night and in the warmer months in the shed. My daughter in her late twenties is also living at home with us, mum and dad, cant afford anywhere to live. She is engaged to a great guy from Maine. As bad as things are here and after much deliberation they want to live in the UK after they marry. Hopefully they will get a rental further west about four hours drive from here in South London as there it will cost less. Have subbed as we used to see you doing reviews and then couldnt find you. I think you'll enjoy the road, I've been a van dweller for 7 years and love it, much better than being in a property as we don't have to work full time just to cover bills, what we spend on upkeep (mot/repairs) a year is about 3 months rent. Not saying it doesn't have downsides but for us the good outweigh the bad. Unfortunate your marriage didn't work out. Good luck with your new chapter

Be strong and come up with a plan. I am doing the living in car in my fifties. It has been close to three years of this lifestyle. Be true to yourself and be my aware that most people will be hostile to the fact that you are considered homeless. Ignore it.
