I'm sorry for the extremely late response, but I'm a little bit biased towards CLS, because I think these cars to this day look awesome. They are completely different, each with its strenghts and weaknesses. Nowadays I would be a little bit worried about GS450h from that generation due to battery age (I wouldn't be too concerned about the mileage per se, but age seems to be the biggest risk factor when it comes with hybrid batteries based on my experience / knowledge). You would have to drive one and compare with CLS and see which one you would prefer, as we all value different things in cars at the end of the day. Thanks for watching!

Hi, first of all I'm sorry for late reply - I wouldn't really be in position to recommend anyone for that kind of swap. As these cars are a bit older, the easiest way to do it would be to buy gs450h first and once you get the car you're happy with - then sell is250 separately. That's at least how I would do it in that case.

Hey, I've sold it long time ago now, after gs450h as daily cars I've had e-class w212, gs300 for a short while and now I drive es300h (2019).

We just got one in the family. It is 2009 awd gs350 with all the upgrades, bought it an year ago. I did a road trip in that car to Montreal. It is so smooth, I did not get tired of sitting in the car for a second throughout the road trip. It is an ultimate option in terms of power, drive, smoothness, reliability, maintainence, fuel consumption and I keep on counting. After the trip I tried so much to get one for myself but these cars are so rare to find in good condition. I love it.

@cptn777 That was approximately my fuel consumption on gs450h too. On the long run while driving very sensibly it went down to around 8-9 (sticking with speed limits for most of the time though).

Thanks for the comment Jay :) - energy monitor is actually working - it indicates the correct level of the battery's charge, but the directional arrows between objects are not showing on the screen, which I believe is due to the fact that temperature sensor had been disconnected from 12v battery by the previous owner. It does not affect the way the car drives nor what way the hybrid system operates. Once I have a bit of time - I'll get that sorted.

My brother has had couple of these years ago but he owns a 2015 Passat estate because he needed something more practical. I agree Lexus is in a difference league especially the smoothness but that's expected comparing a 4 cylinder diesel to a 6 cylinder petrol

@@adamscarstories Yup, only peasants drive diesel cars. They drive by and smell like shit and worse. Countrymen, tractors, peasants, people without shame about the release of carcinogen gasses being released in front of vulnerable population. As long as you save a penny, if you do at all. I drive a 2.0 petrol on LPG and it's way cheaper than what a 2.0 TDI can achieve. Diesels make 0 sense unless you put them to work, absolutely SHIT choice for transportation.

it is 5,9 not 5.2.. to 60/100 km
