Hey Dylan. Hope you read this. I've stopped watching porn for about 5 months now and my life has changed. During the time when I was consuming porn I was so unsecure and anxious. Like you, I was not attracted to girls and I saw them as an object rather than humans. I always walked around with dirty and unpleasant thoughts about women. Nowadays, my confidece is sky high, I am more motivated and disciplined than ever before and just love being around people. I also view women as humans now and not some sexual object plus I like talking to girls now and rarely get nervous by doing so. Keep abstaining from porn my friend, It'll change your life! I promise!

Funny enough I'm battling the same thing and he's right, by distracting yourself with other important things you tend to drift away from an addiction without even realizing. A good method for those who are still trying to get out of an addiction is to do the things you really need to get done when you get that urge.

Yeah, porn can cause problems if overdone, but so can anything. There are a lot more problems associated with marriage and so-called "appropriate" relationships that there are with pornography. People beat themselves up too much over this. I have seen very few really happy married couples. Women are so overrated. Girls with image problems have anorexia. Boys with image problems have lifting. Neither is beneficial, neither will apprehend the disillusions. Addictions can nullify the problem, but they can't provide the solution. As with other addictions, an intervention is needed. Long-term support is required. It's not so simple to quash that cigarette, put down that drink, drop that needle, walk away from that panacea. Why are there so many 12-Step meetings in the United States? How many troubled souls populate these meetings? (It's impossible for an outsider to comprehend PTSD. It takes one to help one. It is not an addiction. It's presence arrives by other means. But, the impact of that disorder can only be understood by another sufferer.) White people are not qualified to address black suffering. Heterosexuals are not capable of comprehending homosexual suffering. You voyeurs are not capable of relating to chronic masturbation, and it's right hand, porn.

I literally don’t know *any* man who is morally opposed to them-not a single one. And I have spoken very openly about sex for years with pretty much everyone I know. Certainly, the men I know have varying levels of comfort with their own autoerotic behavior, as well as different views about how much is “healthy” vs “too much.” But again, I don’t know anyone who flat out thinks that they shouldn’t do it, as you suggest that “every” male does.

@@chrislandis6873 Effects of watching porn So let's start by physical, it increases a lot the risk of PIED (porn induced erectile dysfunction), and fucks up your prefrontal cortex which literally means that you lose braincells by watching porn. Then also physical and psychological effects : it will lower your libido and irl desire, cause mood and anxiety troubles which can make you socially awkward. Then the constant abuse of your dopamine receptors will not only reinforce your addiction but the fact that they are not made for this amount will inhibit them making you want to watch more and more hardcore/shocking porn genres and make you feel less and less pleasure in other areas of life leading you to depression. And to link with the loss of braincells in your prefrontal cortex, this will affect your capacity of concentration, the control of your pulsions, your attention and your capacity to visualize your future by making you addict to instant gratification which will ultimately lead to failure in life in general. Another thing is that watching another man f*cking the girl you want tells the message to your brain that you are a looser forced to be spectator of the sexual life of another man (so it tells you you're a cuck basically) and that thought makes you lethargic, lower you confidence and self esteem and crush your competition spirit. And finally it makes you feel guilty and creates a void and loss of energy. STOP The COPE IT IS AN ADDICTION!!!

I don’t even experience the drive of wanting to get to know a girl, or think about them at all, I know that a relationship with a girl I love is what I truly want, but my mind has been so clouded and unable to feel a connection, I can’t. And it’s all because of this addiction

I've watched your videos for a year now since I started lifting, and you were always an inspiration to me and prime motivator in feeling powerful and confident about my body. It is humbling and even more inspiring though to see you admit to the same devastating personal issues I and many others have also had to deal with. Thank you for being open and honest king and know that time heals all wounds if you let it.

Great timing bro. My libido is dead and I have pied… needed Ed pills because real women wouldn’t get me excited enough and even those didn’t always work. It’s a brain problem. I honestly think itl take me a year or two of hardmode to recover. And god I hope I can recover. Pornographers should be held accountable, there should be a reckoning. I mean that. Yo dudes, for all us youngins, we gotta quit before we turn 17-18. From the way it's looking at 15, I'm not gonna quit until im in my 20's if I don't stop before my testoterone levels peak, and that scares the shit out of me. Imagine wasting that much of your life. . God's it's a depressing thought. Stop and think, for your sake, where do you want to be with your self respect and with women in, say, 5 years from now? Just give it a thought real quick, real talk.

Train your pre-frontal cortex for rational decision-making by meditating. Think less with your emotions (amygdala) which is now inhabited by your negative addiction. Once you balance out the pre-frontal cortex thinking and let your amygdala rest, you will restore, and ultimately be able to feel again.

These are facts. Not easy, however, being super busy is the way to go. I’ve been on SR for close to 40 days and now it’s getting hard because due to severe food poisoning I can’t do much. For you NNN warriors, work out, stay occupied and start a diet. You’ll use all the energy and won’t need to waste it. Good luck!

Much respect for posting this Dylan. I’d be willing to bet if most men did a honest survey of whether or not they are addicted to porn or close too, the number of those who say they are would be in the 50-80% range tbh. Porn is a huge problem for men that is only getting worse as time goes on. I myself am working on becoming completely porn free. Porn is HEROIN to the male brain and I truly believe they should make porn, OF, etc ILLEGAL.

@idrinkmilk2822 жыл бұрын
It's not ruining his life. Its what he's chosen to blame. He's also somehow under the ridiculous impression that "every man knows its morally wrong to watch porn and yet every man watches it". He LITERALLY said that. That's projecting to the highest degree. I love porn. And I have no moral problems with it. Nor does my girlfriend. We enjoy it together. This dude is tryna speak for the entire male race and project his own problems onto every other man in order to feel less like an ass in his own mind under his own morals.

I can vouch for this. Working on a project that you're passionate about will help a lot more than anything. And watching "reject modernity embrace masculinity" also helps ;)

I'm coming from a Christian background myself. After struggling for years with this I realized it's not even about stopping watching it it's about REPLACING the addiction with something healthy, new hobbies, new sport, playing a new instrument, traveling, meeting new girls. i've been able to stop for months at a time, my longest streak was over 1 and half years. I recently slipped back into it. I just booked a trip to europe last minute to change up my life and my mind to get me out of this recent rut. I'm replacing the bad habit with real life experiences and i'll be forced to recruit my brain for real life and meeting new people and seeing new places. Real life, healthy dopamine. Thanks for the video and being open and honest about this very common issue as men struggle with.

While I don't agree that occasional or even moderate viewing of porn or masturbation isn't harmful for everyone, Im happy that you are bettering yourself after noticing a problem! Good for you.
@jakubslavik55952 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I am battling the same thing as you, we will make it someday! As you mentioned, keeping yourself busy helps greatly, I had a really busy comeback to my university in October, which made me almost unintentionally refuse masturbating (I say almost, but I've been trying to find a good excuse to finally stop it once and for all), so apart from the last I think 3 days, I just didn't do it. I have decided to try it now for longer (maybe 50 days atleast) and I have to say, the urges do surface from time to time, but it's manageable and I don't feel tempted very much except for moments when I am bored due to lack of things to do, fortunately books help me with that. :) It's also great, when you try to commit to it as a part of some self-imposed challenge/task, then it actually feels very rewarding as you ''complete more milestones'' or you just talk openly to your friends about it. It is not certainly a very easy thing to do, but if you have good friends, you shouldn't be worried about it.

If someone like you can struggle with an addiction like this, it makes my problem feel a lot less personal and more like a virus I have to beat. I'm on day 6 in NNN and its pretty easy so far. Effects of watching porn So let's start by physical, it increases a lot the risk of PIED (porn induced erectile dysfunction), and fucks up your prefrontal cortex which literally means that you lose braincells by watching porn. STOP The COPE
