Same! I had mine done in the hopes it would ease mine from awfully heavy to lighter... They stopped within 2 months, and have never returned, though it was due out (last) December..... I think my periods may have gone into hiding though 😂 slightly concerned, doctor knows and doesn’t care.. not a problem, what gay what’s her period anyway.. 😂👏🏼💯

I’m finally on the medical journey I need to be, with incredible thanks to you Amy. ❤️ I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for this mornings appointment at the docs.... for nearly 4 years, including the last visit a month ago it’s only ever been anxiety or my conversion disorder, or more recently even though I took it years ago, juice+ causing my gastric symptoms... But with us sharing so many matching symptoms and history (from what I tell from your videos), and with the information you share, both medical and personal, you’ve helped me make my doctor listen and more importantly learn! As she couldn’t tell me what EDS was... and from there I knew I could be in trouble. As of today, I’m no longer a hypochondriac as my notes used to say for querying EDS, PoTs, Malabsorbtion, ect... , I now have PoTs, she finally saw me have a gastric event, and even drew an immediate blood test there and then as she now fears she’s let me become so deeply malnourished and has missed something important.. Gotd’darn this extra polar bear hair! 😂 so fuzzy. 🍑😂 Anyway, thank you again, so, so damn much! You may honestly be the only key to help unlock these doors for me, as since 2016 my doctor has only ever managed to prescribe me the wrong things, watch me lose 7 stone, and have me begging for scope tests! However 3 weeks from now my blood results should come in with even more answers. You’re an incredible light for those in dimmer feeling places! I hope you know how amazing you are, and I hope your recovery only goes upwards from here! Ps, Sainsbury’s still don’t have Ribena Winter Spice yet! HOW LONG ARE THEY GOING TO MAKE US WAIT 😩😭😂❤️

Hi love. I just was diagnosed with MCAS, and I’m seeing a cardiologist for what could be POTS From issues I have had. I’ve never been screened for EDS, but I don’t believe I would have it, my joints doing pop out. Just wanted you to know you inspire me. I’m glad the KZbin gods led me to your channel. It was really an emotional moment to find out MCAS was what so many of my issues have been. I’ve been treating about 2 weeks now. Anywho, thinking of you and sending you love.

I had my first NG tube and it only lasted like 4 minutes because I would throw up everything they put in the tube so I had an NJ tube placed and it was better but I was very very nauseous. Girl you are a super hero, I don’t know how you tolerated the tube for so long. They are HELL, hat off to you. You are incredibly strong!❤️

Amy, if you’re not planning on having a baby right now then why don’t you just skip your period each month to help with your iron? I had to do this and it’s been amazing. I stopped needing infusions bc I wasn’t losing so much blood every month anymore! I use a NuvaRing worn continuously....which means I put one in on a Sunday and then 3 weeks later, instead of taking the ring out for a week to cycle, I just replace it with a new one! So no periods! I’ve been doing this for 7yrs now and I haven’t needed an iron infusion in 6! I used to need an iron infusion every 3-4 months before that. And what’s nice about the NuvaRing is that you don’t get side effects bc you’re not ingesting a pill. Also, as long as it’s in your vagina then it works, it doesn’t need to be places exactly correct for it to work. It could be sticking halfway out and it will still work lol. I know this bc I have pelvic floor issues and the ring doesn’t stay in the intended spot for long. But it doesn’t matter! And you cannot feel it, even if it’s in “wrong”. I asked my gynecologist specialist about it being in the way during sex bc it’s not up all the way and open all the way and she said you can take it out for sex and as long as you put it back in right away then you’re still protected against pregnancy and breakthrough bleeding! Another great thing is that you’re not committed to it. If you don’t like it then you stop. It’s not like you need it removed by a doctor or if you get the depo shot and you don’t like it then you’re stuck with the side effects for 3 months. It’s truly been amazing. I really hope you see this and I hope you give it a try and I hope it works and I hope you love it as much as I do! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh I wanted to add that I had the nexplanon implant in my arm and my body started to reject it after 4 months and I had to have it removed. It sucked coming out bc scar tissue was already formed all around it. And now I have a weird scar there. I have also tried the mirena and that was the most insane thing I ever did. It was awful.

I love watching your videos :) you are an inspiration, even seeing you feeling so crappy then going out and having fun with your friends, I don’t even have any medical condition and my butt would’ve been parked at home until I was better. But that being said I’m sure you’re used to having to power through some things so you can do the things you want and that shows how strong and determined you are to not let your condition define you and I love that 💕

ive done the implant. im 50/50 happy about it. The first half year I was spotting almost everyday. then it stopped for like 2 months. Afterwards i got my period again, and continued spotting for like 1-2 months again. Now im 3 weeks clean. most of the time ive been spotting instead of having heavy periods, so thats a good thing! Hope it goes better for you! and good luck !😊

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get any sleep at all- I know how horrible that can make you feel the next day. You mentioned your iron may be load and you might be anemic again which to me would explain why you get so cold sometimes when others are comfortable. By the way, I really like your tiger sweatshirt!!! It's super cute!!! I have been wondering, how many doctors appointments do you have per week on average? It seems like you are constantly having to go to one or more doctors in each vlog or that you at least speak of upcoming appointments. The blossom festival looked fun and those blooms were simply gorgeous!!! Glad you had fun!!

I hope the implant works for you! I got mine (nexplanon) after my second was born last year. He was born 9/15, I got the implant on 10/31, had my only postpartum cycle mid Nov and nearly a year later that is the only cycle I've had! Ive only had 2 breif episodes of spotting and that was stress related.

After a few months, the implant took away my period (I would get a 3-4 day light period every 3 months or so) and I used to have them be horrible/heavy 7+day. At first, I did have more migraines and a bit more dizziness(NCS), so definitely be aware of that. My sister had the mirena for a very short period of time, but had it removed. She has NCS/Dys and has seizures frequently and mirena made it even worse.

Stay away from the coil of any type, because I got mines put in im February this year after the Gyno ignoring me when I was warning them about issues with EDS patients. I've had constant pain since I had it put in and I've been trying to get them to take it out since. Getting it in also caused me to have dysautonomia issues and I couldn't sit up without fainting for 45 minutes. The implant also made me bleed for 9 months straight. At this point, I'm ready for a Salpingectomy which I'm having to fight for. Good luck gorgeous 💜

I’ve been bleeding since Jan 2018.... going for surgery for polyps but I also have iron issues so hematology had me on birth control straight thru - but that does nothing when you have polyps!! I only found out recently that was the issue! But, gyno wanting to put Mirena In to stop periods Instead of the pill.....i don’t really like the idea of the Mirena because I only hear bad things!!!!

I am actually going in for a D&C tomorrow because I have been bleeding heavily for 2 full months. I'm only 26 and my obgyn wants me to have a hysterectomy because of my period issues and he says it's too dangerous for me to get pregnant being on oxygen and having blood clot issues. I don't have any kids and this is a huge decision to make. Especially not knowing exactly what's wrong with me. Thankfully I'm finally seeing a geneticist in October so I'm hoping the D&C will give me some time to figure some stuff out. I wish you the best of luck with the birth control change it can be rough dealing with hormones. Sending my love ❤️
@billiebluesheepie2907
@billiebluesheepie2907 4 жыл бұрын
I was born with eyesight and joint problems, that eventually got diagnosed as EDS and I have a blood clotting faulty gene called Liden factor V, so I was told that being pregnant was really dangerous, and any children I had would have a 1 in 4, to 4 out of 4 chance of inheriting my faulty genes. But then I was told that I couldn’t have any hormonal birth control (or hormone replacement therapy for the menopause!) either. So eventually, after lots of horrible period problems, I had a total hysterectomy, and have not had any period problems since. Ohh, and I was lucky to foster a child instead, which was fun but really hard work :) So don’t worry about what might or might not happen in the future, just enjoy today because things have a habit of working themselves out. (...and all the best for your op tomorrow)

Nikki’s Nimble Nails I can stay on it long term but the longer i stay on it the worse my liver will get 😫 If I do stay on it long term I will most likely need a liver transplant 😔 I also have a much higher risk of developing an infection with having a Hickman line whereas feeding into the digestive tract is much less dangerous and it wouldn’t harm my liver, which I why I’m trying to get my rate up and back on feeds even if I can get down to TPN 6 nights a week instead of 7, I would be so chuffed with that! 💪🏼 Hope this all make sense ❤️❤️❤️

The problem is I'm off it like 5-6 years and I still rarely get my periods so it has gone from getting them regularly to maybe once every 5 months. Anyway just to let u know it can go from one extreme to another 😉👍💜💜

Seriously stupid question. But why not more Iron in your TPN?? I'm sure there's a reason. Because it just seems like such a simple answer to the continual low iron issues
@amyslife4457
@amyslife4457 4 жыл бұрын
Christeen Verdriess you can’t infuse iron too quickly and it shouldn’t be mixed with other vitamins and electrolytes in high doses hence why there’s only a very small amount in the TPN to start with. Hope that makes sense 💓

I by accident skipped the one advert. I always feel so terrible when I do. It was like I was waiting for it to finish then somehow I forgot and habitually pressed skip🙈. It like becomes a habit to skip adverts. Sorry Amy.

Michelle - it’s okay, I just watched all seven, all the way through! I don’t understand why there’s so many advertisements all of a sudden, I remember when it just used to be one at the beginning! The ones that are over 4 minutes are the worst.

@@billiebluesheepie2907 I don't mind at all if it helps her Channel. Its part of someone's livelyhood. And I enjoy Amy's videos as it makes you realize there is so much more one can do in life. That your limitations are sometimes in your mind and she's doing so much with all she's going through and it keeps me going when I want to complain about my life or give up. Sometimes all of us just need to push through. I don't have a chronic illness. But I have a lot of respect for Amy so I normally push through the ads if my brain would only cooperate sometimes haha

Just wondering,vthe way your talking about it seems like it takes forever for when you get labs/blood work done for your Dr to get results... How long does it take? I'm in the United States and we usually get results same day or next... I would think that being you are known for having low iron and stuff they would have your labs set to stat... Anyhow much love ..💚🙏

Laura Z I think the bloods are usually processed on the same day but it takes a few days for the report to actually get sent to the doctor! If your in the hospital you get them within hours and if my GP does them with a “rush” on then she usually gets them the next day if not 48 hours tops xx

thank god your gyno has a brain and didnt push mirena! One of the worst options for EDS people, seen a lot of people getting them recently and so many horror stories. its like people dont do research these days... Hopefully you dont have issues with the implant, it can move around due to unstable connective tissue but shouldnt cause damage like the mirena would and should still work unlike the mirena if it moves. Im on a high dose oral contraceptive, the normal "pill" wasnt absorbing but now that im on a stronger dose im getting a lot more absorbed before it passes through me.
