So I had a bad cold last week but I'm back and here to analyze Velma again. Somehow this show keeps managing to get worse which is extremely concerning. But, we are starting to get information about the actual mystery which is something. Whether it's something good though is yet to be seen.

Also,there’s already a canon explanation,Scooby is part alien. Not to go into to much detail but there was a species of alien with no physical form so they possessed animals (and could obviously communicate),while most of those aliens are gone,their descendants remain so any talking animal is likely part alien.

It is kind of art as she is racist to literally every race under the sun. She is both misandrist and misogynist at same time. She seems to consider herself filthy but also best there ever was and above everyone else (aka: she would hate and berate anyone displaying any of her traits which are 'fine when it is her' ) It is kind of hard to create character 'THAT' unlikable and even most characters created for people to 'love to hate them' in other stories are quite likeable by comparison. (I swear 'Princess Bitch' from Rising of the Shield Hero has more redeeming qualities. At least she is easy on the eyes and has some level of intelligence. Here? Not only Velma is filthy and ugly by her OWN ADMISSIONS, she also acts as if she was intelligent but proves at every step that she might be likely least intelligent character in her series... which is achievement considering they all act as if they were lobotomized at some point.)

Mindy realizes early on that her mother ACTUALLY left because both Mindy and her dad are irredeemable walking cesspools, but the cure for the hallucinations is for Mindy's father to choose to play along with her delusional cope story about her mother being kidnapped. Yep. Really great characters that are relatable to all Indians of all walks of life.

The comics, the movies, and Frontiers and Prime! And all of those were made with an incredible amount of love and dedication! More importantly, they made the fans happy!

I think it has something to do with Rage Baiting. Steve Reviews made a real good point in his Velma video with the Pinocchio remake film. The faithful adaptations of the characters had just some views on Facebook like 400+ or maybe 1,000+ reactions. But the one post that showed the Race Bended Fairy lady got over 72,000 reactions. Most of the comments weren't all that positive, but at the end of the day, THAT was the one that got the most attention, which means interaction and talking about the show/film. They see that in action, it's a very useful business move to make quick money. It makes sense too because a lot of these ridiculous people also try to slam the very audience they are trying to attract which only makes them more angry, and instead of ignoring them like sensible people, they follow their basic human nature and fight back which ofc means more interaction. Disney (since we're at it) couldn't care less about PC as they've been exposed to removing a gay scene in a film to get the film to show in Singapore. At the end of the day, it's all about money, and as it stands now, rage baiting seems to be the easiest way to make the quickest money for now.

@@furionmax7824 Marvel is already feeling this right now. Phase 4 is their worst performing Phase by far. A lot of the films they brought out do well at the box office but unlike previous phases, the earnings take a steep decline not long after. There's no healthy diminishing like there should be.

@@TheGravityShifter but for animation it's worse bc whatever you draw it's set in stone. If you want to change something you'd have to redraw the entire scene, color it in, animate it. And change the mouth movement frames. It's a lot more expensive than people think and it takes a lot more effort. Like if you have to redo a single scene that's say thirty seconds long, thats a ton of money and time wasted for a simple mistake or "something didn't feel right. Let's do something else." For example. You wanna know how a much a single episode of one piece costs to make these days? It's 90k US dollars. And I bet ya anything Demon Slayer costs even more bc of the insane fight scenes and graphics. Then there's friggin Trigger which goes nuts on the animation. And don't even get me started on Mob Psycho 100. But it's the fanbase and the return profits like sales and fanbase support that allows the studios that make these shows to increase their budget so they can give better episodes than before. Point is. If you're not invested in animation as a legit crowd pleaser. There's no return profit financial or support wise. Bc that shits expensive Velma is a prime example of what not to do. Marvel's What If? Is an example of what to do. I want five seasons of what if? If that's physically possible bc I loved every single episode. If hate baiting or pushing your ideals on to a classic fifty year long franchise is the sole reason for it's creation then long term you're fucked. Views mean shit if the reviews are bad. That's comparable to a restaurant that had multiple customers yet most of them say the experience sucked next to another restaurant that had forty customers in the past two weeks and all of them said they enjoyed themselves. Which one would you rather go to?

But I have to admit it wasn't something I gave a lot of thought. Animation, including CGI, costs a lot and it's a lot of work. A lot of it I'm sure is frame by frame work. Overworked and underpaid talent going into this mess. It's borderline disgusting. But yeah, I would without question go for the restaurant of 40 customers. What is unfortunate is that in the short term, the smaller restaurant might suffer because the one that sucks has a lot more people. Like fast food is clearly terrible for you but the fact that it's easy and cheap to get will mean there will always be people going for it while those genuinely good restaurants cost more and get less which will inevitably shut down and get replaced. McDonald's is like a disease, take one down, 2 more take its place. I think the same is true with current western entertainment.

I was hoping during episode 6, when they were investigating the source of Velma’s hallucinations, that there would be a moment where it is revealed that the reason velma has hallucinations isn’t because her mother left her (because nobody has freaking hallucinations about that) but because ever since she left, Velma kept drinking her “thinking juice” or her pills as a way to remember her, which was the actual source of her hallucinations, but until then Velma kept blaming it on her father until the truth is revealed and now she feels like the city’s biggest idiot

The first few episodes established in a flashback that Velma’s mom left willingly because Velma was a despicable, insufferable, and ungrateful brat. Now they’re saying she was kidnapped. This isn’t character development. It’s a retcon. They did it because Velma in this show is Mindy Kaling’s self insert. If Velma looks bad, Mindy looks bad by extension and would need to repent. But she’s too prideful for that. Simply disgusting.

from the way Velma and the world around her act its painfully obvious that Mindy Kailing wanted to do a new Daria show or maybe even a new Mission Hill but was saddled with the Scooby Doo IP instead and decided to make her show anyway. I think the show would have been better received if that had been the case. Unfortunately there are decades of source material that establish the characters personalities and this show just feels mean spirited because of it.

The Mystery it fine but I feel like it the reveal of the murder is obvious like *Fred's Dad.* Like Imagine if it is him and he's the original voice of Fred old Scooby doo cartoons. No amount of disrespect is worth to get paid. If not him, there's other suspects, Velma's mom, Olive she's the Blonde girl I mentioned, The Mayor, he was outside during curfew and got shocked or Norville's Mom. Seriously, these two episodes are literally the real suspects getting away with future murder obsession! Maybe they didn’t want that to be the real confirmed tease, because, “we’d be called sexist and racist and other crap”.
