I'm Running London Marathon 2025, How and Why!

Must be amazing being gifted Major Marathon entries. Most of us can only dream of getting a spot, or paying thousands of pounds to buy an entry via a Tour Operator... Well done!

Bruh I ran 6 marathons getting close to sub 3 and been rejected by Majors ballots 4 times now 😭 he got 3 major bibs in less than a year with no where near qualifying 😭 no disrespect though content is good

Another way to look at things is that I also work hard in other aspects that not many other people that earns me these places, whilst yes I’m no where near qualifying, I am also deserving in other ways. Either way… I’m massively grateful

@@AubreyRunning Alot of people enjoy your content. You are different to most Toobers, however doing a KZbin video in my opinion does not entitle you to be gifted entry. Even London being so close. I've applied via the ballot 14x and not been accepted..14 times! Being gifted a place the first year you want one just to advertise a sponsor once a week in my opinion is disrespectful. The same thing applies to the other Majors. I've also applied to Berlin 4x and no joy, so am now paying something like £1500 to do it next year. Totally unfair. But that all said, I do hope you enjoy the experience(s), but please don't flaunt that 6x Majors special medal at everyone, knowing it's unachievable for the rest of us!

@ I honestly do appreciate your perspective and empathise with your rejected applications. Please trust that I do. Honestly I do. I don’t ever want to give the impression that I am entitled, that I don’t ever want to be or feel. I know the position I’m in is rare and that is why I am always grateful for every opportunity I get. When I say I work hard and have earned some of the opportunities I get I mean just that. There is a lot I do on this platform and others that many won’t ever see so please don’t only see it as doing a video. Maybe this is worth a video on its own!

i did my first marathon this year - Valencia. I got a place on London 2025 on the regular ballet which is crazy. I trained with Runna, excellent platform. Also got a place on Chicago 2025 🎉

Seen as you got a free place and didn't have to go through the ballot why don't you pick a charity and do it for a good cause. There's thousands have no option but to go though the charity route and with your youtube presence you'll raise a lot of money for people in need.
