Loving your resolve to change your life. My wife (77) and I (81) need to change our lives, have an emergency fund and more of what you just talked about. You are inspiring us and probably many others to turn their lives around.

Mel, you are the greatest young woman. I am 77 and took many of the steps that you are contemplating. Find one thing that you can cut back on and work with it. I am very comfortable living my life and had my struggles, but I am happy.❤

Your strength is admirable. Going through my own struggle at 34. You can lose everything at any age, and I wallowed for years. Wasted time. You're right - getting your mind right is everything. Mindset matters and you can do it if you keep going

Way to go Mel! So many are crippled by their habits and unable to change. You and so many others are a great example that it just requires determination and a desire and you can change anything!

Mel it’s amazing. Two hours ago I had an appointment with a Naturopath. It was my first meeting with him, and during our conversation, he recommended that I read the book atomic habits. I had just downloaded it from Audible, when I listen to your video, and I was walking around the room saying “wow wow wow I can’t believe what I’m hearing”. This was a very inspiring topic, and I’m full of admiration for you, always have been since your first video! What a long way you have come and how much you’ve progressed , congratulations and good luck. I know you are going to do well and have a wonderful life. Thank you for sharing with us. Much love. 💕

I started again my 40’s too I was a stay at home mum with a part time job. Taking control of your finances is a great feeling. I work off a zero base budget so I know where all my dollars go. I have been able to buy my own place build an emergency fund and save for retirement. Anything is possible when you put your mind to it. Good luck on your journey 😊

Thank you Mel for your openness and honesty. At 76 and on a pension I learned long ago to separate my needs from my wants. That has helped me curtail my spending especially impulse buying. Do I need this? Or do I just want it? I pay bills and then I buy what I need. It works a treat! I actually save money now in a special online account. And no credit cards! Bless you Mel, your future is bright! 😊❤

I agree to a point but hustle culture can be toxic. Money is important and I’m not denying that but things are important in a different way. They hold memories, they bring joy, they add something to your life. Of course you can go overboard, many people do, material things can put you in debt quick, but it’s about finding a balance and being smart with your money without worshipping it. Just my thoughts 😊

Most of us never realize is we are pretty much all products of our upbringing. If our parents made good money, we probably will as well. If our parents were educated, we probably are as well. If our parents were good with their money, we most likely are the same. It is good that you realize things need to change in the way you conduct your business and financial lives. If one does not see a need to change, the same habits will continue throughout one's life. Good luck!

I'm 64, and I'm absolutely amazed at the number of commenters who are around my age and even older, and we're just learning now to collect dollar bills! Love the perspective. This moght be the single most valuable video you've put out, and believe me, that's saying something! You rock! 💖

I don’t actually agree with not collecting anything. I collect WWE figures and have been lucky to pick up rare ones for cheap. It makes no sense to sell if I can buy it back again for cheaper. You need to have a balance too. Collecting the things you’re passionate about helps give you balance.
