Look up Houston Crosta. They rebuilt probably the most famous Bugatti in the world that drove into Galveston Bay over a decade ago because a "pelican flew in front of him" and he swerved. I think the guy was arrested for insurance fraud. Jason Cammisa just drove it in today's Hagerty video. Btw, Ed had his eyes on that one as well before it was restored

These cars are a marvel of engineering for sure. But they are for sale so long for a reason. They are huge $$$ pits. This would be THE number one car to ever exist if your looking for a not well maintained example . Hope you have some good sponsors, perhaps some factory trained folks that work on these, lined up if you ever get one. One thing for sure, when it breaks or needs work it's going to make for some spectacularl expensive you tube content. It might make tavarishs p1 build look cheap. But it's always fun to watch someone else make the bad financial decision and watch it play out with my popcorn .
