Well for what its worth the doors look fan-freaking-tastic!! I literally did the whole gasp thing when you walked into your front entry way to show the newly painted front door! The black makes such a statement and the curtain along with the rest of the painting you've done and the trim work just makes it look so classy and elegant and so suits you guys. The whole house is really coming together and its so nice to see you two doing the work and putting so much time and care into everything!! Its so neat to watch a house become a home! Thanks for sharing that with us!!

Joe there is a special liquid you can add to your paint when you want to give a sprayed look and have something not show brush or rolller marks, its amazing. I used it on my room doors and wish I had known about that stuff years ago! I can't remember the exact name but got it at Sherwin Williams.

loved your views of NY and I think the door will look great when you rest up and can look at them fresh without being so tired. When you work so hard on something and it isn't what you expected it some times ruins the enjoyment for a time but I just know that Joe did a great job and all will be well. The house is really coming along, looks really nice! Those kinds of touches drive me crazy, too, about the white showing through, etc... I bought a screen door from Home Depot, one of the more expensive ones, and when it gets really cold outside, the door won't open from the outside. I've been trapped on my back porch freezing in the snow, because my door won't open when its cold. When I have to open it, I'll put something in between so it won't close. When I went light fixture shopping, I couldn't believe how many ceiling lights had see-through glass. I don't want to see my bulbs or any of the stuffing foil through that glass. haha

Joe, If you use a product called floetrol...you will be amazed at the difference. It makes enamel latex paint go on like a dream!!! Sherwin Williams...and use according to directions.

My boyfriend works at Home Depot IN MILL-WORK and wanted me to tell you guys that next time you should buy your doors from Home Depot instead of Lowes because at Home Depot, they have the color swatches there, and if you didn't like those, then they could paint the door in ANY Behr color you wanted. Not from Guadalajara, but close to a city from Jalisco (the capital is Guadalajara) if you guys come to México I recomend Guanajuato, it has many cultural places and is beautiful, in my opinion not the capital Guanajuato, but the other places in Guanajuato are amazing
