I am the same way Laura! I wake up 2 hours before I leave for work and I've always been that way. I eat a nice breakfast, have coffee, make lunch for work, and take my time. I can't stand rushing....otherwise my whole day would be a disaster!

I'm similar to you Laura. My "silent" time is when I do my makeup in the mornings before work. That's my relaxing time. I really enjoy the quiet and I find putting on makeup so relaxing. Add a cup of a coffee and the day is perfect!

Laura, I am the same way!! I have to wake up at least an hour and a half before I have to leave to go somewhere. I like to have time to do my makeup (especially if i mess up), time to watch youtube videos while doing my makeup and time to eat breakfast, drink coffee and get a chance to get myself together before I start my day. It doesn't feel right when I wake up an hour or even less before! I hate to feel rushed and not ready!

I've been watching all your channels for a for awhile. I found Laura in the Kitchen when I was searching for a recipe for eggs benedict. I've been hooked ever since and even my 8 year old daughter loves watching Laura bake goodies. I love you guys. Laura is beautiful inside and out. I'm with Laura on the quiet time in the morning. I just want to drink my coffee in peace! Unfortunately I only have a few minutes for than when I have to be at work at 6:00 a.m. But I treasure my morning coffee/quiet time on the weekends!!!

I'm the same! For example, if I have to be somewhere by 9, I have to leave the house by 7, take a shower at 6 and wake up at 5 ( I have this weird backwards thought process).

What a video...! I just have to say that I have not seen a more personable KZbin chef, nor one that is more beautiful than Laura! It is so pleasant to see her style, her sweet personality and the down to earth nature come through in her videos. Laura I don't even consider myself haven woken up until 45 minutes to an hour after my eyes open. I am a slow waker. I just need that slow, quiet solitude. It makes me feel "ready." I don't drink coffee, but I eat my breakfast and enjoy the quiet. People who can just get up, and instantly be on the move are an enigma to me.

I, too, need quiet time in the morning to have coffee and gather my thoughts. I read my devotions, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning. I hate the mornings when I have to jump out of bed and hit the ground running. I know that different people need different things. It's not that your way is right and Joe's way is wrong. Both ways are right for each individual one, but only for each one.

I think it's wonderful that you guys get to spend so much time together during work. I certainly enjoy working with my husband (which I know most ppl will disagree lol). Laura I completely understand. I need my hour of solitude before I have to deal with anything. I need my me time with coffee. The coffee has to be really hot and no questions or problems until I adjust my brain to the day. If all goes just like that, I'm hell on wheels for the rest of the day. I'm so excited about the book and all the new recipes. I ordered mine days ago. To tell you the truth I hope you do another book with all the classics. Pizza dough, Chicken Marsala etc. Your classics are the best and I wish for them to be in a book. There are people in my life that don't do KZbin and I would love to give a cookbook to them with all your classic recipes. (I want one for me too) Keep doing what you do. I need an hour or so in the morning. I get up, start the coffee, do my skincare stuff. Then I'll make my coffee and my lunch/breakfast. I drink the coffee while listening to music and doing my makeup. Then I head out the door to walk to the train station.

I'm up at 6am during the wk and I take about almost an hour to get up, watch the news before I head to the gym. I like to be up early enough time when we go places too so I don't have to rush. I would give myself 2 hrs to get ready before we go lol. its what works for me without feeling rushed.
