I will never stop being amazed by how dim your biorb is. I've never seen one so dim. I'm sorry the third-party seller customer service was bad because I've had great service from Oase. I've had mine for about...5 years? It works great. I've grown a lot of different things in it, some I've had to eventually remove because they got too big (syngonium and anthurium in particular.). Right now I've got lots of ferns, bromeliads, a vanilla orchid, some jewel orchids, oxalis, and a flowering anthurium in mine. Your fittonia set up looks fabulous.

It would look even cuter with a fairy house in there

I have made a mini terrarium in a jar after your first tutorial and I put there fittonia and fern. Now I am in love with fittonia plants, they are so beautiful and easy to grow! I am so happy that you decided to make big terrarium with them :)

Wow! Now I'm liking this set up! A lot! It reminds me of a tropical jungle somehow... And I'm loving fitonias now as well. 😍🤩Didn't know they were so pretty. I'll start the search tomorrow.

It looks amazing, as with everything you try! I can't remember what orchids you had put in it previously, but would paphiopedilums work in that type of setup? Being terrestrial, they might like the mix of soil/bark and they don't need as much light. I would love to get this type of setup, but I agree with your conclusion, it's too expensive to put cheap plants in it! LOL

I purchased a couple of Fittonias a couple of months ago. There’s just something about these little plants that is so striking,…I don’t know how to describe it. They’re not beautiful nor ugly. I guess interesting is the best way to describe them. I didn’t know what to do with them until now. Thank you for the idea 👍🏼

Yes I do have a biob aswell and absolutly love it😍 Mine does have orchids and they do very well, got them to flower so they must be happy the orchids in mine are bulbophyllum falcatum, tolumnia, and trias picta. Enjoy my biorb every single day for the last 3years so to me it was well worth the money. Glad you found a new way to set up your biorb, hope you will enjoy it this time round it looks beautiful with the fitonias 👍🏻

What a great use for it! The pink ruffled pointy fittonia looks like Frankie, which is my favorite. I've killed it many times lol. I currently have two I have not killed yet. I might try this in a basic decorative fishbowl terrarium setup because I think it would look great!

If you want to raise the back a bit more, you can use slate or other larger stones to create a retaining wall. You could use seiryu stone to make mountains. Dragon stone also has a really interesting texture. It just depends on what’s available in your area but I think some more variation in height and texture would look good. I’m the same way when scaping. I like to get a variety of materials and play around with them outside the tank for a while until I find something I like. Then I take a few pictures so I remember what I did before I start assembling it in the tank. And don’t forget to have fun!

I’m so glad you found a way to use it, it looks beautiful. Fittonia are one of my favorite plants! It really is too bad they don’t just put better lights on this thing. Or make it cheap enough to be worth being a fittonia garden.

Another great outcome 😍 the pieces of wood really gives it’s a nice touch! And with the little fog it looks like a mini rainforest, I think the butterflies will be a great addition plus a few little fairies as well 🦋🧚🏼♂️🧚🏼♀️

@missorchidgirl which is best for fittonia terrariums open or closed? I've watched a lot of different videos showing either. I'm trying to keep my pink fittonia alive and I'm not sure which.

Youre too hard on yourself. well, you don't give yourself enough credit. that bioorb you've put together is fantastic. As you said, the coolness of the lighting really sets the colors of the plants off. Great choice of plants, they mingle well together. it truly looks fabulous. oh & in my opinion, id Leave it just the way it is. No decorations. looks like a place id love to take a special ğirl on a walk through.

I thought of you when I was at my local home improvement store. They are selling preying mantis eggs for the garden for $10.18 USD a container. Never have I seen that before. I took a picture but I don’t see where I can attach a picture to show you. The brand is Gardeners. Just a weird coincidence that I recently watched your video and all of a sudden there are eggs for sale. Geez! Wishing you a happy day!
