The christmas truce is one of my favorite historical events and for Peter referencing it via pokémon is just perfect 😊 Plus it's the only one who doesn't looks like it's the creation of an fever dream.

Peters picture tickles me a lot, because of sabaton. Also when the higher ups knew what they had done, they moved them away from that front line because they were afraid they would not be able to kill each other, they were also close to being executed for refusing to fight during a war. Or at least punished.
