I made my own forge burner.

I made this a while back with the idea of making castings for my restorations. I now plan to make the greensand and the Moulding Flasks. I am currently gathering all the needed materials and equipment.

The only thing I would add is a brass or steel mesh screen at the exit of the burner to help give the flame a better flow, more laminar flow , will help with even heating of the work piece. But. Im mot a forge exper so take this advice with a grain of salt 😁👍

I did try to add a screen on the tip after some testing, it burns away/melts after a few minutes.

Nice job on the burner, what type green sand are you going to be making?(Short Video like this one?) What is the name of the brass ball vavle piece?

I salvaged the valve from a propane burner from a heater. The greensand is the kitty litter clay mixed with fine sand. That is the only one I know of at the moment.

As in the likes of a propane hot water system or an off grid propane house heater? ( sorry for all the questions just having trouble finding out what it is called) and thank you for the greensand recipe too Good luck with your casting adventures
