I Made Rapunzel's Dress | Turning Rapunzel's Dress into a Ballgown

This is giving me Rapunzel from Tangled mixed with Barbie as Rapunzel and I absolutely love it!!!! Its so flowery!! Also the brocade looks more of a rose gold than brown and it actually looks really beautiful with the lilac satin and I love the pink tulle overlay and the organza sleeves.

i was wondering the same thing, some people also gather a rectangle to make the skirt.

For ballgowns like this, I usually do a circle skirt or half circle skirt. That way you get a large shape to fit the hoop without the bulk in the waist 🥰

Hi !! Fashion major here. The way you are doing it is exactly right and you can also cut circle skirts into panels for an even more exaggerated ball gown shape that sustains a shape instead of kinda folding itself into pleats on random places
