Is it weird that even though I know nothing about warhammer, I think this is possibly my favourite video Jazza's done in a while? Also, Is it just me, or has the tabletop time crew been extra fun of late? They've just been embodying that chaotic energy I love about Jazza Studios so much! It's nice that the terrain was built in pieces to be able to break down for storage but I think that it could have been attached to cable's for easy access to a table, directly under it, for use & raised up to the ceiling. "Lower The Board, so that the game can resume!" This would allow the players to remain in place, whenever it gets so late & nobody wants to clean up😂, raise the drawbridge, I mean Terrain!

Astartes are about 7.5ft tall, Primaris and custodes are about 9; primarchs are 10- 12ft with a few being almost as large as the Emperor short a few inches (Magnus & Ferrus Manus). The Emperor's is 14ft tall.

They view him for but a moment and his sheer psychic might instantly overwhelms most of them fueling his fire, but the people that survive become fully sanctioned astropaths. Primaris Psykers don't go through this process though as it is only required for astropaths.

It's closer to the size of a Primaris Marine. No one knows exactly how big the Emperor is, so much about him was said to be mutable or lacking fine details, even his face. Although one of the Sisters of Silence looked upon him and due to being a blank, wasn't affected by the warping effect of his psychic might. She just saw a regular man, albeit from a distance. That is actually about as tall as an Astartes, as they been described to be about 7'6" - 8'6". Which is 2.29 meters to 2.59 meters. The Emperor of Mankind on the other hand have been mentioned to be many sizes, sometimes just as tall as a regular human, sometimes towering at the same height as a Primarch (3.5-4.5m/12-15ft depending on the Primarch with the exception of Alpharius who is more like 3m/9-10ft) or taller. My guess it is because of his warp power, he can be as big as he want.

This is fantastic haha!! But at 2.4 meters (7'10") tall, that's like Astartes size. Primaris is bigger still, then Custodes, and Pirmarchs and the Emperor at the peak is supposed to be around 13-14ft tall. So almost twice as big. Which is insane

@@HistoritorJimaldus and the emperor is extremely wounded and not able to handle his abilitys as good as he used to which is why only certain people can only enter his palace cause you will literally be sucked just bye sitting next to it and yes you are right people do see the emperor differently which is why lesser chaos sees him as a literal chaos gods thats larger then the chaos gods then now to imagine that the palace is a literal continent sized building the emperor and the astronomicon blend there power together and it can literally be seen from across the universe chaos would literally see the emperor as the largest being larger then the chaos gods snuffing out basically everything in that spot of the warp

I've never had any real luck with the plastic wrap corpsing technique. We did a horse a couple years ago, and the wrap barely stuck, and wouldn't take paint at all! We ended up using paper towels and wood glue. It gives a durable result that really looks like dried out mummified flesh.

I have a question about your "order of operations" when came to painting the emperors body: 1. Starting off with a base coat of dark brown 2. Misting of some red in some places just to add a little bit of a fleshy feel underneath 3. the next coat which will be a sort of bone white that I give the whole thing a vibrant pop with My question is, why did you put the white on top of the red? I am by no means an artist or painter, so maybe there is a no duh reason for this but, in my mind, it would make more sense for the white to go first then the red for fleshy bits, only because the flesh sits on top of bones. The end result at 14:39, I can't see any red, but maybe it's there in the layering dulling the white some, which is probably intended. The true end at 17:04, 17:17 really looks like a mummified body. You know, I think I figured it out, but I'm still going to post the comment. The issue is with my thinking... he says bone white, but is describing the color, not what he is actually painting and all the layers combined, the brown, red, white and layers washes gives it the mummified look. I was thinking, based on some of the reference photos and the image at 7:35, the end result would be an emperor with gory pieces of flesh hanging onto him, and not the living skeleton/mummy you ended up with. Not saying what you did was bad, just my assumption of what you were doing and what I imagined the end result to be, put me on a different page, leading to my confusion when it came to painting.

If they painted red ontop of white it would probably be too stark/garish in my opinion. The most iconic art doesn't have a focus on flesh/gore. The red underneath the white effects the white ontop. (Making it warmer and thus more alive). If you had black or blue primer underneath the white it can look signficantly different. Also keep in mind bone can be stained so blending colours is very appropriate. At 14:39 I absolutely can see some red left over look at the inside of the nose etc. I have no doubt everything thing was completely intended. Otherwise they wouldn't waste the time and paint.
