Hi Candace, can you come up with a really tasty vegan pork chop recipe? When I was a meat eater, pork chops were my all time favorite meat. I absolutely love your recipes. Lol still can't find the bean curds in my area. Oh well, I'll have to use rice paper for your chicken instead!!!❤️❤️

Have you tried an Asian market? I've found bean curd sheets at TNT and other Asian markets semi locally. I have to drive about 25min to the closest one.

I purchased the Almond Cow and was very disappointed. The milk made with the Vitamix was much thicker, smoother and creamier and you also get pulp with the Vitamix. The return policy is not the greatest. Only the actual machine is returnable and you have to pay for the return shipping. I believe it cost me around $25 but have had heard of others having to spend a bit more.
@laranadesign47642 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience with it. I was wondering the same when I saw there was just one button to push. I have a vitamix and soymilk maker (not almond cow) because soy beans LOVE to boil over the second you look away. 😂 It has a few settings for different beans and grains with some oatmeal porage and soup settings. Personally, I bought it for soymilk because like you, I feel like my vitamix does everything else the milk maker claims is unique to it.

@@RP-uu7oq Are you soaking your nuts? Also have you tried either running it in the collector cup to make creamier milk?

I cannot wait to try this. I Cannot make cashew milk and have leftover pulp because I use my Vitamix for this and the machine just pulverizers everything thing, but yesterday I made almond milk and I do have almond pul left. So I’m going to add the almond milk pulp to 1 cup of cashews and try that. I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. I can’t wait I’m going to do this tomorrow as it’s late now and dark. I don’t like cooking in the dark LOL anyhow thanks for all the fabulous ideas, recipes and all the work that you do for us. Merry Christmas Candace 😊

I mostly have been making oat coconut milk with my Almond cow because the oats and coconut are a lot cheaper than the cashews or Almonds, I did recently get some Almonds with food stamps and have made some milk with it. Do you think I could do something similar with the Almond pulp? I make milk for 3 people, 2 of who drinks so much milk I have to make two of those jugs every few days. I barely get any of the milk myself

I like my almond cow, but haven’t used it in awhile. I do wish it had a heating option to make soy milk. But i liked it in the beginning. I didn’t see it saving me time or waste or anything, but I prob didn’t use it enough to see a difference. I found it easier to use my blender tbh. But this idea for the pulp is way better use than what I’ve seen. Perhaps I’ll try to use it again…

I make soy milk in my almond cow all the time, I just heat it on the stove after. And then I dehydrate my pulp in the oven to make soy flour for muffins and pancakes

Absolutely true. My family aunts, uncles, and parents chipped in and it was my 1 Christmas gift a couple years ago. It's definitely not affordable just to buy, even with the promise that it will save you money after a year of regularly using it. Not everyone has that money upfront. And you still have to buy the nuts, which are expensive. Buying bulk is the best bang for your buck but it's another high upfront expense.
